Jamshedpur or Tatanagar is the largest and most populous city in Jharkhand and the first planned industrial city in India. It is a Notified Area Council and Municipal Corporation and also the headquarter of the East Singhbhum district. It is a popular tourist destination known for its forests, ancient temples and royal palaces. It was ranked as the cleanest city of India in the year 2019.
It was founded by Jamsetji Tata, founder of the Tata Group, and was named after him. It was established in 1919.
Jamshedpur was ranked as the cleanest city of India in 2020 by Swach Survekshan in 2020. Jamshedpur was ranked the 7th cleanest city of India in 2010. The city is also ranked as 2nd in India in terms of quality of life. Jamshedpur is the 84th fastest growing city in the world according to City Mayors Foundation. It is the headquarters of the East Singhbhum district of Jharkhand and is the 36th - largest urban agglomeration and 72nd largest city in India by population. It is one of the first Smart Cities in India along with Naya Raipur.
In 1919 Lord Chelmsford renamed the city, which was originally Sakchi, to Jamshedpur in honour of its founder, Jamshedji Nusserwanji Tata. Tata had written to his son Dorabji Tata about his vision of a great city in the area. On Founders Day (3 March), the 225-acre (0.91 km2) Jubilee Park is decorated with brilliant lightwork for about a week.
The prospectors C. M. Weld, Dorabji Tata and Shapurji Saklatvala took nearly three years in a painstaking search across vast stretches of inhospitable terrain to find a location for a steel plant. One day they came across Sakchi (present-day a business district), on the densely forested stretches of the Chota Nagpur plateau, near the confluence of the Subarnarekha and Kharkai rivers. It seemed to be the ideal choice and the place was selected.
In 1908, the construction of the plant as well as the city officially began.[18] The first steel ingot was rolled on 16 February 1912. It was a momentous day in the history of industrial India.
Jamsetji Tata's plan for the city was clear. He envisioned far more than a mere row of workers' hutments. He insisted upon building all the comforts and conveniences a city could provide. As a result, many areas in the city are well planned and there are public leisure places such as the Jubilee Park. While building the city, Tata had said:
"Be sure to lay wide streets planted with shady trees, every other of a quick-growing variety. Be sure that there is plenty of space for lawns and gardens; reserve large areas for football, hockey and parks; earmark areas for Hindu temples, Muslim mosques and Christian churches."

Messrs Julin Kennedy Sahlin from Pittsburgh prepared the first layout of the town of Jamshedpur. Jamshedpur is a million-plus city with three municipal corporations, Jamshedpur Notified area committee, Jugsalai Municipal corporation and Mango Notified area committee.
In 1945, Tata Motors was setup here. It is now the second largest industry in Jamshedpur. A municipal corporation was proposed in 2005 but after protests from the residents this did not happen.

খুব ভালো লাগলো দাদা আপনার presentation, আমরা just কালই ঘুরে এলাম। খুব ভালো লাগলো। তবে একটা কথা আপনাকে বলি, জামশেদপুর থেকে dalma যাবার পথে ( main road থেকে 1.5 - 2 km ভিতরে) পড়ে একটা point, যার নাম Dobo. অসাধারন। just speetchless . আপনি যদি ওটা না দেখে থাকেন , তাহলে খুব মিস করেছেন ।

You forgot to mention the name of another stalwart who first placed the proposal to build the Tata Sterl plant at this site whi h was then known as Kalimati; Sri P. N. Bose. Such is the respect that he commands that even to this day his bust is displayed in front of the main gate of the plant alongside that of Sri. J. N. Tata.

One thing I gather from watching your blog, is that Jharkhand Tourism is poorly adminstered badly managed organisation. It is a shame, that such a beautiful region, with so many natural wonders, that can have so many wonderful packages and treks, that can generate so much jobs, small businesses, & revenue for the locals is so neglected.

HAPPY NEW YEAR - 2024. বলছি ভাই তোমার VIDEO দেখে খুব উপকৃত হলাম. কিন্তু কথা হচ্ছে যে আমি বসিরহাট থেকে টাটানগর যাবো. বসিরহাট থেকে FAST TRAIN 3টের সময় হাওয়া পৌঁছাতে 6 টার বেশি সময় লাগছে. তাহলে আমি কিভাবে যাবো. আমাকে সকালের দিকে যেতে হবে. একটু জানালে ভিষন উপকৃত হবো. ধন্যবাদ ...

তার মানে তো আপনার হাওড়ায় আসতে অনেক সময় লেগে যাবে। একটা কাজ করুন যেহেতু অত সকালে আপনার এখানে আসতে সমস্যা ,, সেরকম হলে আপনি বেলার দিকে স্টিল এক্সপ্রেস বা শালিমার এল টি টি এক্সপ্রেস এইগুলো ধরে সন্ধ্যা বা রাত্রের মধ্যে টাটানগর পৌঁছে যান। তারপর বিশ্রাম নিয়ে পরের দিন টা সারাদিন টাটানগর এর বিভিন্ন জায়গা গুলো ঘুরে দেখুন।

যদি একদিনে ঘুরতে চান তাহলে একটা কাজ করবেন ঘাটশিলা থেকে প্রথমে চান্ডিল ড্যাম তারপরে দলমা পাহাড় তারপরে ডিমনা লেক দেখে চলে আসুন জুবিলী পার্কে। যেহেতু শহরের বিভিন্ন জায়গা গুলি জুবলি পার্কের আশেপাশে তাই এইভাবে ঘুরলে কম সময়ে অনেকগুলো জায়গা দেখতে পারবেন। তবে জুবলি পার্কের আশেপাশে মানে শহরের কাছে ঘোরার যে জায়গাগুলো আছে সেগুলো কয়েকটা মিস হতেও পারে। খুব ভালো থাকবেন অনেক ধন্যবাদ আপনাকে।

যদি কম বাজেটের মধ্যে মোটামুটি হোটেলে থাকতে চান তাহলে আমি যেই হোটেলটায় ছিলাম সেই হোটেলটাতে থাকতে পারেন। ওভার ব্রিজ থেকে নেমেই হোটেলটা। যোগাযোগ নাম্বার ভিডিওতে দেওয়া আছে।
টাটানগর আর ঘাটশিলা একসঙ্গে ঘুরতে গেলে কিভাবে ঘুরবো একটু প্ল্যানিং করে দিলে খুব হয় দাদা☺️

প্রথম দিন ঘাটশিলায় গিয়ে ঘাটশিলার সমস্ত জায়গা দেখে বিকেলের ট্রেনে অথবা পরের দিনের সকালের ট্রেনে টাটা নগর। টাটানগর ভ্রমণের জন্য দুটি দিনের প্রয়োজন তবে একটি দিনে দূরের জায়গাগুলি ঘুরে টাটা জুবলি পার্ক চলে আসতে পারেন। এরপর রাতের ট্রেনে বা তার পরের দিনে সকালের ট্রেনে করে ফিরে আসুন। আর যদি আপনার কাছে দুটি দিন থাকে তাহলে একটি দিন দূরের জায়গা গুলি আরেকটি দিন টাটানগরের লোকাল আশেপাশের জায়গাগুলো ঘুরে দেখে নিতে পারেন। এই চ্যানেলে ঘাটশিলা ভ্রমণেরও একটি ভিডিও আছে দরকার হলে দেখে নিতে পারেন।

সারাদিনের ঘোরার জন্য তিন হাজার পাঁচশো টাকা লাগবে গাড়িতে। এটা একটা বড় গাড়ির রেট যাতে ৮ জন বসতে পারবে।
বলছি দাদা ট্রেনের টিকিট আগে থেকে অনলাইনে কাটতে হয় নাকি প্লাটফর্মে গিয়ে টিকিট কাটলেও হবে। দয়া করে জানাবেন

আগেই করে নেবেন। অনলাইন বা অফলাইন। রিজার্ভেশন করে যাওয়াটাই ভালো। আপনার সিটটা কনফার্ম থাকবে।
12813. টাটানগর ধরলাম হাওড়া থেকে. একটু please বলো টাটানগর সস্তায় কোন হোটেলে পাওয়া যায় . আমদের ট্রেন পৌঁছাবে রাত 9 টায়

হুম সেটা তো আপনাকে গতকাল বলে দিয়েছিলাম। আপনি না হলে ওখানে নেমে আপনার পছন্দমত কোন হোটেল দেখে নেবেন।
