Punch is a superior product imo because it's built on Tata's new modular platform, while Tiago is still based on the older but reworked Vista platform.

Tiago is a mini Tank, it will continue to sell, there will be only a little impact due to punch, I completely understand a person who is going to buy Tiago will buy punch, but Tiago sales will not reduce

Tiago AMT variant comes around 7.7L on road! Punch amt 8.5L 🥴 And Belive me, i have test drived both punch and Tiago! Both are value for money! Just the gigantic looks of punch takes the edge over Tiago! Tiago is bae! 😍❣️

Altroz, Tiago will still be preferred by a section of people who are not comfortable with SUVs. Yes, this category exists And altroz, Tiago will still cater needs of those section. Not everyone is crazy about suvs

@@Ashish-rx4tvTata is Indian car.They make safest car for us. There by showing their commitment. Suzuki is Japanese, they gives us 0 star safety rated cars like swift. For them our safety dosent matter, the only thing that matters is their profit. But many of them among us telling that Suzuki cars are best. This is a trend that only seen in India. Because Suzuki is nothing in any other countries. They have a sense of safety concerns. We should have been change our minds. Government should take action to ensure the safety of passenger vehicles, it's seems like Suzuki pay money for not to implement safety standards here. So citizens we can take decision to not to make such companies grow. We make Suzuki grow to high levels, but they gives us zero star rated cars in high volume segment like swift. Even after failing utterly in crash tests, again they are making 0 ⭐ swifts.

@@bmk7890 Dude , ppl in India buy cars mostly for city or town ride , where u rarely cross 60-70kmh , those safety ratings were introduced in West bcoz the speeds at which they operate courtesy the quality of their roads and less traffic makes it necessary for them to have strong build quality If u drive safe , the probability of accident is less than 0.01% , India is a relatively poor nation , mileage matters and will continue to matter , Suzuki might not follow best safety standards but they click on ride quality , mileage , great after sale service , good resale value , less noisy engine , low cabin noise ... , yes cars ar unsafe compared to Tata bt if u crash with 5star Tata at 100kmh plus speed , then even Tata cats cannot save u 🥴

Tiago offers enough ground clearance already for Indian condition. More ground clearance will result in increased body roll and makes a car in this segment less driver friendly. Even bigger tyres impacts driveability. Comparing these two cars which has same engine, Tiago would be a better option for a middle class family if we consider fuel efficiency, initial cost, maintenance cost and drivability. Story will be different if punch gets a better engine BTW. Hatchback, Sedan and SUV are distinctive segments which will stay same for ever, so, there are chances that these marketing gimmicks like micro SUV can become an ugly looking class of vehicles in future.

My Tata sales rep told me yesterday that PUNCH base model will be priced between 5.8 to 6 ex-showroom. Almost 1 lakh above tiago. I think it will impact altroz more than tiago.

Exactly. As expected both Altroz and Punch are based on alpha platform. So base model ex showroom price is expected as close to 6L.

TATA should change the Boot space allignment in Tiago CNG like that in Celario. This small change will make it a complete value for money car. There is no shame in switching to other's design when its for the betterment of whole company and customers.

Punch top variat and Tiago top variant has a difference of 2 Lakhs. Don't misguide Punch is definetly an upgrade for tiago and hence the obvious premium in terms of price as well

Really man ...this engine is shit..im using tiago 2018 petrol varient. engine like bajaj Ape riksha wala...i regret now...2019 i brought swift .. cant compare with swift engine.. tiago giving only (40%percentage performance compare with swift ). if tiago with 4 cylinder engine ..it will be a great choice..

Tata should have offered 4 cylinder engine in Punch. Maruti has yet not compromised with 4 cylinder engine and perhaps that is a reason for their consistent sale of Baleno and Breeza. Noise, vibration initial pickup in 3 cylinder are unavoidable issues which irritates sometimes. Though cost difference is not much....

Use a bit common sense 4 cylinder engine makes your engine heavy and tata cars are already heavy if they give 4cylinder engine it will give very less fuel efficiency, you can't get everything in one car

Can you share your experiences regarding 1) engine noise 2)rapid acceleration problem which was persistent in 2020 model 3) maintenance 4) does xza+ have auto hold? 5) any other cons 6) what mileage did u got actually in city

I dont think so 50-60 k ka difference hoga, the top end of tiago amt reaches 8 L (On road mumbai) while i think Punch will reach 9.5 L (On road).

i think kisi bhi haalat mei Punch ka launch price 5.49 lakh se neeche nhi hoga aur 5.49 lakh bhi introductory price rhega till n number of bookings, uske baad 1 baar bookings rok di jaayegi aur price bdha kar dobara bookings start kri jaayengi.

Certainly Tata Punch is superior compared to Tiago in every aspect.
