+anu india We haven't tested the Alto 800 extensively as yet, but the Nano, at it's price, is a mouthwatering deal! Time to head to the nearest showrooms ;)

U go and test drive both vehicles. I am sure u will like nano than alto. Because nano great comfort. Good interior space. Low turning radius. Good fuel efficiency.

Looking mini Lamborghini. Also it is my favorite car. Affordable, Pocket friendly, small place to turn, no space, no parking issues. At all.

He is a pretty (ok not so pretty!) old guy! Our chief technician!

Best local / city / second Car package. Best alternative to 2 wheeler. Safety, Security, Auto Transmission, AC, Music System with USB / Aux in / Bluetooth Connectivity, Central & Remote Locking, Tiny Footprint, Power Steering, Front Power Windows, Small Turning radius - All this, coupled with the best mileage, makes Tata Nano surely a much better worthwhile package at the prize point it's offered at. Unfortunately, people's perception doomed this Wonderful Project. Hope Tata would revive Nano with Electric / Hybrid Car option & also add ABS & Airbag/s, slightly bigger engine, atleast as an option.

The way both of you guys sitting into the car proves that Nano got a very good spacious cabin. Because of space into any TATA car me and my friend always says.. "TATA Apni Her Car Truck Samajh Ke Banati Hai". Lol.

Almost forgot! It's not JUST the price witch holds appeal, the styling is quite attractive as well. ESPECIALLY by (usually depression inducing) small car standards. It has style without being overwhelming.

for a person like me comes from middle class family, tata nano fulfills dream of buying first car. Almost 80-90 K less than alto, but at the same time provide same features ( AC, power window) More important at has ample cabin space than alto/eon,,,like the nano,,

I had Chevy Spark and have Chevy Sail hatch, and i just love them. But at the same time i have a dream of owning a TATA NANO. Specially the 2013 version. The car has it all with one of the greatest Petrol mileage. TATA has done excellent job with the NANO.

Well of course! :-) At $3000 the time for the vehicle to recoup it's purchase price is quite low. I'll spare you the math, but say the Nano is used to replace a car getting 23mpg, for a person with a 40 mile roundtrip commute. Assuming this person works a 5 day week (No holidays) they spend $3000 in gas ALONE (assuming gas is a low $3.50/gal) In 1.9 years. ($1574.30 per yr.) Subtracting the Nano's own yearly cost in fuel ($908.45 by the same calculations), it pays for itself in just 3.3 yrs!

I too own a nano, the engine being in the rear. The noise is very low in the front. Two cylinder engine does sound like a bike, but the mileage the nano offers i.e. 18 to 20 kmpl with ac in normal traffic is too good. I will prefer the smaller engine for mileage, even if tata's offer bigger engine.

I was wondering what stops tata from launching a new nano with the following features and it will see for say alto prices - 1000 cc 3 cylinder engine - front console on the drivers side - 13 inch wheels equal sized all round - 5 speed manual and AMT It’d be a awesome city car if it had all this I’d prefer it over the KWID/Alto but then again they’re stuck with the 624 cc engine

I am driving Nano XT for over 2 month now. I Must say Power Steering betters driving many times. Digital odometer is also awsome.

The power steering feels much like a Bike & zip zap zoom... "Oh wherz the traffic"??? :) in a matter of 5 months i have done almost 8000km.. dono howmany times i drove to Bangalore in it from Pune.. its awesome, she definitely loves Traffic.
