I owned Safari Dicor 2012 model, Safari storme refresh model in 2015, Hexa XT Manual in 2019 and now bought New Safari in 2022. I have both Hexa and new safari right now...No vehicle comes near to Hexa in terms of Ride quality, built quality, space,suspension setup. It's a true beast. A true 2.2 Ton , 2.2 Litre 400 nm torque engine. Forget about innova, new/old XUV there is no match in ride quality..

Recently because of health reasons i have to sell my Hexa and bought new Scorpio N Diesel automatic. I like old school Ladder frame SUVs. Scorpio N is good but when ever i go on bad/bumpy/rural roads i miss my Hexa. True beast. 🙂

One of the best SUVs with brilliant Ride, Tata Hexa is gigantic and quite bold somehow. Although, Tata could've update it with even more features. However, I Liked the 2.2L varicor motor under the hood.

They could have continued the 2.2 L varicor instead of that 2.0 L kryotec in their present gen safari and harrier.

@@TheDownToEarthPerson1425 no, it meets bs6 in tata yodha bs6 pickup, that's a varicor motor bit downgraded, i have seen many jeep compass too having problems with engine, just last 2 weeks back on my way home, i saw one jeep compass open its hood stranded in the road and the owner looks frustrating. It's just that when it comes to tata, just one issue, people spread it like wild fire and they generalise it.

@@TheDownToEarthPerson1425 no, there's no relaxation on commercial vehicles...It is heavily downgraded varicor, they put a fixed geometry turbo, use Lean nox trap tech, put a limiter which restrict rev only below 4000rpm as its max torque comes at just 1000rpm to 3000rpm, this is crucial for low emission, and they have tuned for low end pull only....suitable for pickup. It sounds very smooth for a commercial engine as it comes from hexa 320nm. The other hexa 400nm has different piston rings and compression ratio as said by tata in one journals which i read before its launch 5 years ago.

I own a hexa xta from December 2017. Can't imagine the places I have been too. Terrific companion. Super ride. Excellent automatic. Great space. Nice seats. Super alloy wheels. Still it's a head turner on roads. After riding with me, many commented the same saying that this car is totally under rated. I bought this at 19.5 lakhs on road. Can't imagine a car at this price for such a car now. I won't be selling this car anytime soon. So happy with my hexa. Wish it was still on sale now. It would have eaten so many other cars at this price range.

I will never sell my Hexa. It’s a brilliant piece of engineering. Tata motors did a big strategic mistake of killing this masterpiece

This was a gem of a car. Excellent and proper 7 seater with good boot and all creature comforts. Infact it came with a capable 4*4 as well. Sadly Tata decided to kill it with a Nakli Safari ( Safari means 4*4 and new Safari does not have this characteristic and neither it has a boot with all 7 seats up.)

Proud owner on a hexa 4x4 yesterday checked its odo have clocked 95k kms in since Sept 17 no mechanical issue or any mechanical issues yet. And still it amazes me with its capability and efficiency.

The wow car! Hexa was never disappointing and highly missed by enthusiasts.

It's just like the Ford Endeavour. When it was on sale, people would refrain from buying it. And now that it's not, everyone wants it back!! I'd bet all these people would vanish if these cars (or their updated versions) were re-launched in the market!

The reason may be our market was not matured enough to have such car. I felt in recent day we started loving more long drive, big go to any where and less gizmo's car. Thus eventually the choice goes back to this car.

This was the car from where tata had marked the beggining of their dominance with serious focus on the power of engine, the interior, the speakers , the infotainment and everything else that they werent doing before. Though the car couldnt perfom well in the market , but it was very well thought out .

Hexa's Front looks Phenomenal Rear could have been better

Peoples mindset should be change,this is a absolute MPV/SUV😍😍😍, the one who have everything but not recognised

I own Hexa's 2019 model XM+. Great VFM with excellent features. High speed stability is great, Cruise control making Highway drives so effortless, wonderful suspension setup and Eco Mode delivers decent mileage too. Service costs between 7k to 8k. No issues faced so far. Aircon is definitely noisy above level 1 and Rear camera resolution could have been better.

As you are preferring the automatic variant, make sure you check if the brake pad replacement has been done in the service history. Also check suspension and ride quality, all 4 tyre condition and if battery is healthy. The automatic is a relaxed cruiser on highways, but mileage can be little lesser compared to the manual variant. Best luck for your purchase..

It's got 400nm of pulling power, the 4x4 torque on demand can do offroading, good suspension travel, super drive modes, it rides brilliantly, build like a tank, high water wading capacity, macho looks, 200mm of GC, can carry 7 people, brilliant TC transmission which can do 0-100 in 12 secs for a 2.2 tons mammoth, what more do we need...

@@automobilespace innova sales internationally because of its gud ride quality, comfort and reliability whereas hexa cudnt sell well in its own land. There is no single competition to innova. And I m comparing new mahindra cars with old hexa because they are better than any new tata cars in every department.

Adding to the problems faced in my 2017 Tata Hexa XE posted earlier I had an enroute breakdown while driving from Katni to Bhopal (distance 430km) on 25 June 2023. After driving for about 40 km my ABS light came on followed by another light. As it was 40⁰C plus temperature and my parents both aged 85 years were with me I decided to continue. However soon display went blank, ac & blower stopped working, all electricals i.e. lights, indicators, horn, wipers, windows operation everything stopped working. It became unbearably hot inside & I had no choice but to turn back. As soon as as I turned back engine stopped & failed to start. I had to arrange taxy for my parents to return to Katni and they had to wait in the scorching heat for nearly two hours by the roadside at 85+ years of age. I contacted Tata Motors roadside assistance which reached after nearly 3.5 hours from Jabalpur. Fortunately the vehicle took a jump start & I could drive 50 km to Jabalpur without electricals, horn, indicator etc. After dropping the vehicle & spending the entire day in 40⁰ C plus I (aged 58 years) had to arrange another taxy to return to Katni. The vehicle was in Jabalpur Tata Service Centre for three days during which the electrical system was checked and battery was charged. Apparently a 150 amp(?) fuse had melted causing a series of problems. I was charged about 3400/- for the repairs. After the repairs I had to take another taxy from Katni to Jabalpur, collected my vehicle & drove 350km to Bhopal but all shaken up. The entire episode cost me close to Rs 20000/- including change of travel plans. This Tata Hexa has done only about 34000km in appx four years of running. I am really scared to take this vehicle for any outstation trip, the very reason for which I had bought this SUV.

Hexa with Fiat Sourced Engine, Hyundai Sourced Gearbox and Steering wheel which doesn't feel a workout would sell in good numbers with the Safari Badging of course ❤️

Fantastic car, it was a worthy competitor to the Innova, I don’t why Tata killed the car. They could upgraded the looks and relaunched the car. No car can match the ride quality of Hexa, with low running costs.

@@princetejwani1069 Bro Steering feel ka matlab hota h ki wo city me light ho jaaye (Isse driver ko thakaan nahi hoti) aur highway par heavy (isse driver ko confidence milta hai) and Steering Feedback ka matlab hota hai ki jab apan steering wheel ko kisi bhi direction me turn kare agar toh wo kitni jaldi respond karti h, matlab kitni jaldi vehicle turn hoti h, ye hota h, hope you got it?

It has some interesting features which even current safari lacks.

Bro this car should be back man....real SUV in the world of todays crossovers. My uncle have one XE variant... I'm telling you most VFM base model ever seen❤️just love this car.

TATA should bring it back with the same exterior design . It's a powerful beast.

I have the Hexa XT and I've driven it in some of the worst rural roads. The Hexa is solid in built quality but the 19 inch slim profile wheels are not for the rural roads. Will complete 5 years in October this year and so far have used 3 pairs of front tyres alone, but the stock bushes are still intact.

Finally the mighty Hexa. One of the TeamBHP's favourite MPV

Amazing space in all 3 rows, comfortable and yet somehow good in pickup, even though its very heavy!!! (MPV + SUV = Crossover)

4:40 you don’t have to jump from there! You can fold that seat even more (upside down ) from below that seat which gives good amount of space to walk to the third row! ❤️

If the hexa doesn't miss service centers frequently it can be one of the best in it's class Unrealiblity is the only factor which lets it down

Hi I am driving Tata hexa XTA AND Renault Captur diesel Both cars don't have match in their segment Absolutely bonkers

In 2018 it was on our list when we were about to buy our 2nd SUV.... but we went for Scorpio D140

I hope tata relaunch it with some really good updates 🤗

Tata needs to relaunch this car as an alternative to overpriced Fortuner. Design it like the older safari and bigger, with refreshed and distinct interiors.

4:40 Hexa rear seats actually tumble down Both the middle seats tumble. There is a leaver under the seat and a ribbon behind the seat to do that. 6:22 First glove box is actually a cooled glove box. I have Tata Hexa XMA variant, it’s humongous in size and excellent on ride quality, my family and friends just love it.

Hexa was a phenomenal car with great and rugged SUV looks, 19-inch alloys🔥🔥. It has brilliant road presence. The engine and the automatic gearbox were brilliant. Especially the safety factor and build quality was on PAR. Even tata offered fully loaded features, smooth ride and 4×4, but as always good cars get discontinued as our indian market doesn't appreciate good cars.

@@dipakvanjani8967 it's a good car if it is maintained well. Get it serviced regularly according to the manual. Change the parts and fluids according to the manual. I would recommend to go for the car if the car condition is good. Get it inspected by a good mechanic. It regular service cost may go from 6000-10000(expected)

Many doesn't know but Mahindra MHawk & Tata Varicor was developed by AVL Austria @same time with a similar architecture & concept. While MHawk was developed to a great engine overall through the years but Tata chose to axe Varicor from passenger lineup altogether.

@@SuperCrystal69 why shud I search hexa vs swift. Tata cannot win against toyota so their toxic fans always pull maruti. Lol🤣 Hexa is more expensive than swift it’s direct competitor is innova. And innova destroyed its competitors.

slight correction... you can actually fold the second row seats completely until the headrest thingy touches the floor and it's quite easy to jump in to the 3rd row after that

Finally HEXA review ♥️♥️. I have been looking for it everywhere and in Bangalore it's in huge demand. Unfortunately most of the HEXA were purchased by car rental companies and they have been kept in poor condition which are on sale 😭

I have a hexa 2017 model in Rajasthan. 36K on ODO. Base Model. HMU if you're interested.

Would love to see a decent condition indica ,possibly a cr4 one to be reviewed unlike the old one which was beaten up like most of them.

Please do a vlog on discovery metropolitan edition as nobody has done a proper review of it in India

Hexa, Marazzo came to invade the MPV segment ruled by Innova and then failed drastically (NTP : MPVs are used basically as a tourer and where everyone never want them to give a breakdown or other issues 😌)

Varicor 400 should be launched again. I like how TATA's engines pull at low speeds.

3:39 There is one more step to recline the seat , no need to jump over the seat to go through, their is good way to go to 3rd row , and third row is enough for shorts people and kids . AC works very well . (Please don't provide false information) regards khan sahab

Unloved child from the house of Tata Motors.. First Tata passenger vehicle which gained immense love, but unbelievably true that this vehicle is no more in production today, as it would have been the big boss in tata motors sales book if it were still in sales today.. Hexa ❤
