I use the same implementation like few year ago . Since then had to charge the cell like 1 time 🤣🤣 a bit funny to think but it is a great implementation plus you save lot's of ££ by not getting lot's of battery plus that's great from a ecology point as well great to see people start thinking a bit more about improving them stuff 👍

I did the same with my 2 multiterters, but I put a switch between the output of the charger and the boost converter, si I can switch off the battery´s consumption....results? in one year I had to charge It 2 times. And I use the terters every day

Have you measured power consumption through the 3608 booster? You need on/off switch between battery and booster module.

Esta modificación tiene un pequeño problema..el modulo elevador se consume la batería con el multimetro apagado, la solucion es colacar un pequeño interuptor entre la bateria y el modulo elevador (step up)

@EASY TECH my DMMs work fine after 4 to 5 years with standard alkaline 9V battery. But let me say one thing: I'll only use it for two or three minutes every month... only for checking (rechargeable) batteries and continuity check (beep). But nice job anyway. It's interesting for people who use their DMM every day. But Standard DMM with no backlight will last really long.
