As an Ecuadorian, I'm happy to know you love our chocolate! And you haven't tried others as Tango, Manicero and Pacari. This last one is organic chocolate which last year (2014) won 14 awards in the International Chocolate Awards held in the UK. This was the third time this brand receives international recognition. So far, Pacari has received 79 awards since 2012. Visit their website and you will see the extense variety of chocolates they have! Proudly Ecuadorian chocolate!

@Heysel Blood I refer to the commodity. After processing yea, British or Swiss are the best
You were cracking me up in this video. I'm not sure what's up with people flinging penguins in the sea but I appreciate that it's a tradition that both Ecuadorians and Americans share. Also, I'm slightly confused now about what other countries call toffee and taffy. In America toffee is a coffee/caramel candy that is either a hard candy or extremely tough and chewy/sticky while taffy is usually a soft and gooey candy that comes in a million flavors. Taffy makers actually 'pull' and 'stretch' the candy. It is pretty neat to watch.

Very late to the party, but I really do appreciate this. Though I live in the States, I’m Ecuadorian, no surprise there. Most of these Treats make up a good portion of my pantry. Guayaquil is where I usually go to visit family and there’s a local mall with a supermarket. It’s a paradise. Some things you can get in the US, but there are other things that can only be found in Ecuadorian markets. Btw, I’ve seen all of Barshens and Ashens, so I’m a big fan and have now started watching your content. It’s very different from Barshens but in a good way. I like the family friendly vibe here. Don’t tell Stuart, you’ll always be my favorite, Barry.
Hhahahaha Barry you're my man!!! I read the video description and INSTANTLY, the song "Ecuador" popped into my mind!!! I was so amazed when you actually played the song on your phone :D
Ecuadorian chocolate is the best in the whole world!!! Thank you for sharing our tastes to the world! :)

Nanzii Noboa yea ecuador for life am i right
Toffee in the US is hard and crunchy, as you know from tasting that SKOR bar. Taffy is soft.
I am half Ecuadorian and have had most of this stuff. Amazing. Huevitos are my favorite out of all. First ever video I watched from you and immediately subscribed. Keep doing what ur doing man, cuz u r hilarious.
i am Ecuadorian and me and my mom watched and we thought we have never seen someone who is not from Ecuador love our candy that much! LOL BTW new subscriber right here me
I love this series and I must say I love you, your work and can't wait to your cookbook get here! keep up the awesome work!
OMG, licking the cow head killed me. Hahahahah
You should try gourmet Ecuadorian Chocolat, like Pacari or cacaoyere.
I love these tasting videos! You're just so funny and not afraid to be wacky and have a laugh :D
Love these videos it makes working third shift brighter! By the way as someone from the USA i find your accents and comments AMAZING!
We Americans don't call taffy and toffee the same thing because they aren't. Taffy is a chewy stretchy often but not always fruity candy. Toffee is like what is in a skor or Heath bar it's hard n buttery delicious.
More reviewers/chefs should be like you. I'm going to repeat some of the things already said here, but you're so very authentic (not in a TOO creepy way) and you always make me laugh. Thanks for being so awesome! Could you and Dr. Ashen do more sand-witch (get it?) and tin challenges.
Yeeeeeees!!! Ecuador finally :D
i could watch these everyday there so good
I love these vids of you eating sweets from around the world. Makes me want to travel and buy loads of sweets lol. X
Barry you are one of my favorite foodies to watch on KZread! You're always so funny and fun to watch! I'm from the USA and I love watching UK KZreadrs, I love these videos and your giant videos as well. I'm going to be trying out a lot of your recipes (especially the dessert ones) very soon and I can't wait to see more! When is the next giant video coming?
Cómo no ha probado los TANGOS!!!!!!!!! No me lo puedo creer, si es lo mejor de lo mejor de los dulces ecuatorianos!!! I can't believe Barry doesn't taste Tangos, it's absolutely the best of the best among ecuadorian candy!!

Great video as always. I would live to try them all.
One of my favourite youtubers definitely!
RELAX! Your "PACOCA" was cute :) Ps. LOOOOOOVE THIS KIND OF VÍDEO and the "my mind say nooooo... But my bodyyy..." Ahahaha
"Let it go, let it go, I am from Ecuador" I am loving that quotex
I remember in primary school when we had those Christmas party's and stuff, the thing which would tell you whether it was a good party or not was whether someone made marshmallows covered in chocolate on the top with a smartie for decoration, good times
Barry lewis I love your channel you are so so funny when ever I fell down I just watch one of your videos and I fell fine and happy again
Love the videos Barry. Me and a relation have been sending each other US and UK sweets after watching them. So you are a star for international trade.
ooooooomg!! you had the best cholates and cadies from my country! vaferito and maanicho are the best
I'm from Ecuador and your video was so cool happy to be ecuadorian
Hi Barry, Greetings from Ecuador... your video was funny as always... and no, Bambolina is not a expression we use for excitement hahaha... I think it's just the name of it... Manichos and so many products you tested are from a local company which name was so funny to hear from you "LA Universal"... it's most like "The Universal" but nothing related with Hollywood... anyway, it was so hilarious... I'm glad Adriana sent you those lovely treats, but I think she missed some that are extraordinary like Organic Chocolate Pacari and handycraft sweets from our Highland... Great videos!!!

How I miss all those sweets! Ecuadorian chocolate is amazing! Barry you should try our banana chips, cassave chips and the salty treats now! :)
I'm going to Ecuador in a month, this video is very useful to me.
So funny mate... "Barry don't be a tubby englishman" had me in stiches
Hey Barry love this show so good i'm watching every day and learn some cool stuff to do at home! keep up the good work
"Throw a penguin with me" lmao.. Omg you're too funny.
When me and Barry have the same phone case 😎👌🏼 love your videos!
You always have me cracking up in these videos
Fangirling so much cause you tasted stuff from our country :D luv u Barry
This is so good!! We do have really chocolate. I think that you need to try chips from Ecuador like Tortolines, riscos, rosquitas.
omg I am Ecuadorian thank you so much this made me laugh so much😘😂
OMG you're amazing Barry. By the way thank you for the welsh cakes recipe it's delicious, but I use cinnamon instead of mixed spice.
Hope to see some Taiwanese, Chinese, and Vietnamese treats soon. You've got so much energy, it's so intoxicating. I can feel it all the way in Southern California. Stay cool.
in the USA, we have a candy bar called rocky road. it is chocolate covered Marshmallow with cashews.
its a good thing you like it. Since im from there I appreciate it
You should come to Ecuador and taste all the incredible food we have!
here in colombia we have something like osito (brown and pink thing) and it's called "nucita" :)
I was looking some material to teach my British boyfriend about Ecuador and I found this video. You are pretty funny but I might suggest if you do another video of Ecuador or well just another country, try to find the traditional treats. Ecuador has so many of them! We have melcocha, dulce de guayaba, turrón, etc.
hello !! i'm from ECUADOR !! the snacks is delicius !!! much snacks !!!
My Virgin Kitchen, we call it El Universal and it's NOT from the USA it's a Ecuadorian company in Guayaquil. My Grandfather lived across the street from the company. Boy the smells were fantastic. :) Love your videos. The guy singing Ecuador isn't from Ecuador, he just came up with that song (sort of song) when he visited and fell in love with the country. I think he stayed and is from EUR.
Ohw dude i like your videos soooo much how you explane the tastest its so funny i almost can taste what you taste dude keep on making vids :) ;)
i would have been in chocolate heaven!! Those looked amazing!!

OMG I love Manicho!! 💛💛💙❤️
After this video I'm going to the store to buy some of these treats XD nice video ;)
lol Taffy and toffee (for the most part) are two completely different confections. Taffy is soft and chewy and is made by boiling sugar until it gets thick and then it gets pulled on a "taffy puller" until it forms a glossy, smooth appearance , toffee is hard caramalized sugar either in a block, sheet or crumbs, kinda like peanut brittle without the peanuts.

Toffee in many countries is different to American toffee. Like in Australia have soft and hard toffees they are the same ingredients but are cooked to different heats to get the different textures and they can be any flavors. American candy apples are called toffee apples in many countries including Australia and they are covered in the hard toffee. Then Taffy is different again but I don't know much about that as its pretty rare were I live and I have never tried to make it myself.
Hi barry im only a child but i love cooking and i just wanted to say your such a big insperaton and chloe and phobe are so so lucky to have you. From Lilly. D:-)
wtg you have a great attitude glad you like ecuador

Yah, I'll call you back, I'm dancin' I laughed way to much at that
proud to be Ecuadorian !!
Little bit pate, but you can get marshmallows covered in dark chocolate in Denmark in every supermarket, and there is some with white chocolate in some stores.

They're Flødeboller
in the states toffee is more of a caramel sweet and taffy is more of a sugar sweet like starbursts kind of
sounds lovely
do you have "vintage" treats in the UK? I have been trying to gather up some treats from my childhood that are not around anymore except occasionally I will find one or two...just wondering....
Happy Sunday!
ahahaha i love your videos :D they always make me laugh
Whats the song at 9 28 i have been trying to find that song for a long time and couldnt find it
What is that song that you play in between tasting candy in the beginning?
I'm so excited, to see how you react to the Swiss Stuff! :)

This was so funny. Lol I wish I was the one sending you stuff cause she missed some essentials
"Howdy, folks! How's it goin'?" If this isn't a t-shirt yet, it needs to be ;)
Taffy and Toffee are two different things to me. I always think of salt-water taffy and a Heath bar for toffee. One is soft and chewy and the other is not. Are they more similar in the UK?
By far my favorite playlist

Im ecuadorian, loved the video, most treats are delicious. ManiCHo actually is pronounced ash in naCHos, because the "CH" in spanish sounds diferent, and is not maniac is because "mani" is peanut, an ingredient for the chocolate.
yay, food about ecuadorian food, gracias
