first time trying it now while watching your vid i decided to just crack it open after several other revs since yesterday when i got the bottle, so on the nose very soft on any rye hints with a young alc smell like light nail polish that eventually turns to some hints of corn, mouth feel med viscosity enjoyable and smooth, for the taste you got to swirl it around a bit to get anything but not much there other than like a light rum actually that is what the aroma and taste remind me of a bit and since its mostly corn i believe then it won't be very dimensional or much like scotch again light nail polish or tree sap but it turns into like water before the swallow, very smooth stuff and hopefully more will open up to chew on so yeah not much in terms of flavor but has smoothness going for it so far perhaps there will be some nutty flavors soon im hoping , i doubt it will do good on ice we shall see as time goes with some air in the bottle how this one will come out as you can not always go on first impressions with fresh whisky, anyways my favorite go to so far is another canadian more than a scotch surprisingly and that one has been special old rye also by the same distillery as jp wiser has great flavors and smoothness as well but a bit more rye and other things in this one than wisers as for my go to scotch it's j&b rare, tried single malts and other blends etc but they are not my cup o tea

Hey thanks for watching! I agree this one doesn't have a huge flavor but it sure goes down easy. I refer to it as the Kool-Aid of whiskies. I did try J&B as well ... look in my Chess Chest playlist for The Thing and you'll see I actually turn that into a J&B taste test instead LOL.

yes it does go down easy and actually it is starting to taste more robust today even with some spiciness and burning on the tongue for the finish which was not there before so it was surprising and with a pinch of water it mellowed down to acceptable spice and heat, ill have a look at your vids if i don't have to search through too many, your play list you said? ok ill have a look see@@DowntheRabbitHole0
