Jacmel Inn began service in June 1977 after six months of renovation to a former residence built in 1888. This historic 2-story property sits on 2.2 acres, just nine blocks from the center of historic downtown Hammond. The lush landscaping, new patio, and ample parking make Jacmel Inn a culinary oasis worth the 60-mile drive from New Orleans.
In 2022, ownership passed to Alfonso Flores, who worked his way up from server to General Manager over five years. Now as the owner, Alfonso continues to provide a peaceful, sophisticated dining option for Hammond and the greater NorthShore.
Executive Chef Brandon Martinez crafts a seasonally evolving menu featuring fresh Louisiana seafood, prime steaks, lamb, pastas, and great desserts. His cooking techniques and dishes are inspired by traditional Louisiana culture, ensuring a memorable dining experience.
