I thought the guitar sounded particularly nice. Lots of acoustic detail. The beach scene sounded like it had a weird auto gain thing going on, but not sure how that could be the case with the X8.

Yeah, agreed. We didn’t do any post-processing on the audio except normalizing. Overall I think the internal mics are great, but we’ll follow up with some additional testing.
Hey man, sounds great. How did you get the noise so low? I'm having that issue with my x8. Did you use noise canceling software in post or is mine just a pos?

Hey Adrian, thanks for watching! I didn't do any post-processing, except for some normalization to balance out the levels. The noise isn't too apparent in these examples, but I have noticed quite a bit of noise on further testing of the X8. I think it's just that most portable recorders tend to have not-so-great preamps for their internal mics.

Pure audio, but the levels have been loudness normalized to -16LUFS
sounds good, but you need to get that bad boy tuned :)
