Thank you! It’s a great box for songwriting. Just has a reputation for beats, since most of the music associated with it, and content put out about it, are showcasing beats. It can do so much.
Very cool to see the MPC used with live instruments and not just for generic beats (wich can be cool) , thats why i apriciate the channels who do different genres , but barely find those. Im in the middle of learning to play the keys but guitar is next.

Right!? I had the later version in 2001. The silver version. I forget the model number. First dedicated recording device I ever owned.

@@dreadwardbernays AKA DeOxit. The scratchy headphone pot is a "known issue" with the Portastudio. I don't THINK I can comment a link, BUT go to 16:28 of a YT video title "How to fix a noisy output on the Tascam Porta02 MKii" by User 173.

Long story short: it’s nice to record videos with MPC and Mic into the Model 12, and Model 12 into cassette recorder. Then, from Model 12 direct to camera. I’m not using all the functions. But this specific case fits my needs.
