Tool assisted speed runs don't count as world records because it's assisted. The guy that holds the current world record didn't have to use a damn tool assist to complete super metroid on the snes come on now. If you really have to use a tool assist you might as well use the fucking GameShark

Its interesting to see the way boss weapons are used in these runs, x4 in particular is a game with boss weapons that are seen on the less useful side. Even if a human can't do most of what the tas does, anyone can use charged jet stingray shots to causer that kind of havoc on the trains. Of course most people go with the plasma shot buster upgrade that invalidates half the weapons. (which is the real problem with them)

What I thought cool in X4 is because when you get X's armor pieces, it shows a silhouette of how the armor will look like. Too bad that it's not included in X5 and X6, that would be awesome, but because it's also possible for Zero to step in the capsule and get the pieces for X... Kind of a letdown. :/

One major source of re-records is finding a way to get enemies to behave the way you want them to. It's less "hard to pull off" and more "test a bunch of tech and see what works best"
