Maniac Mansion (1990) is a unique game by LucasArts that has some weird humor and, in the NES version, cool music. It features cutscenes, multiple ways to win, useless items (like Chuck the Plant), and microwavable hamsters. In the storyline, Dave and two of his friends infiltrate the Edison family's mansion in order to rescue Dave's girlfriend. To save her, the teens must get access to the inner lab, deal with Purple Tentacle, shut down the ZOM-B-MATIC, and defeat the evil Meteor.
This is an improvement by authors Arc ( tasvideos.org/Users/Profile/Arc ) and ShesChardcore ( tasvideos.org/Users/Profile/S... ) to save 154 frames over the previous movie.

I had to LOL at 2:12 when Syd walks right out the dungeon before Ed even has a chance to chastise him!
This game looks incredible for NES bloody hell.
Imagine three kids, breaking into your home, speedrunning your trust to rescue a girl they love who's hidden in your house

this game used to scare me as a kid lol, played it all the time though
I like the part where you used the weight machine and switched characters so that someone else got the benefits of working out. Wish I could arrange that with some fitness folks.
Holy shit that was clean, way to bait out Edisons to smoove right around this being an intruder nonsense.
This was listed under music. I mean, there definitely is some music here, maybe it's fitting
