I love how whenever a weak pokemon like oddish or pidgey is sent out the narrator says "Oh! It's a , like he was hyped up for a strong pokemon like alakazam or snorlax but is immediately disappointed by the rattata or spearow that was just sent out

the announcer will never be this good again. for some reason they told him to be full of energy and over the top. usually now a days they are more strict about them and won't be so fun.

The real thinker is naming Primeape 'primeape' - I hope whoever did the naming got a promotion after this game came out.

Back when One Hit KO moves relied on the speed of the user, considering the Diglett and Ponyta evolutionary lines have high speed stats, making their Fissure and Horn Drill be deadly against any Pokemon who's not a flying or ghost type, respectively.

OHKO moves only worked on mon that were slower than the user. Didn't affect the hit rate.

@@sharktamer no, they did get effected by speed for accuracy in later gems it's based on the level difference.

I remember getting Dodrio Tower and playing the game at triple speed. Leveling was so easy. It was like the hyperbolic time chamber of pokemon. Also, 1:31 is hilarious. So much intensity in "taken."

Also having not seen this game for well over a decade, it amazed me how familiar all the Pokemon animations (such as Raichu's tail sticking straight up on KO or Magnemite falling apart on KO) are to me.

All of that work for a Squirtle.

Awesome. Can't wait for Pokemon Stadium 2 TAS.

Don't ask why but I find hearing the thuds when a pokemon faints helps give the sense this guy is a heavy pokemon.

Man... makes me want to play Stadium again. Once you get to the advanced cups of Round 2, it actually starts to resemble the gen 1 meta as we know it. Fun stuff.

It’s only bullshit if you have to use rentals. It’s actually quite playable if you use the transfer pak. I wish I knew that as a kid though

It's always baffled me of the in-universe logic of some Pokémon. Farfetch'd, for example; that leek is PART OF HIM even though it's not physically attached, disappearing when you defeat it. How the fuck?

I guess Pokemon Keepsakes that are really attached to them, emotionally speaking of course, get into the PokeBall too, or ones that they need, like Spoink's Pearl on it's head, or Dweeble's Shell

Also, I miss this game, this mini-series; we only got two entries, with Battle Revolution being an inferior unofficial entry that didn't even get any updates for Platinum. This is much better than the incomplete shite we've gotten in the last two years, that's for sure.

Ibuki Mioda Well unless you have a shit computer, there is no reason for you to not play this game. Even an old low-ended android phone can run a N64 emulator and pokemon stadium 1 and 2.

A year late, but whatever. It's not about performance. Some roms on N64 have graphical errors, which can ruin immersion for players.

Jack Hazardous- Really? I tried to tool assist on Pokémon Stadium 2 several years ago, but the randomizers were always decided before each turn even began.

Why is the Graphics Disappearing? Is it an Emulator Bug? Edit: Also Watching a bit MORE of the TAS I noticed that after the first battle some of the Pokémon’s Sprites Were Bugged. OBVIOUSLY Diglet shows this to you. Edit 2: #digletbuggedsprite

I remember I could never beat Sabrina when I played this as a kid because of the Burglar, he would always pick Rapidash and would always land the Horn Drill. It wasn't until I got older I ended up just picking Starmie and was able to outspeed and OHKO it

Pokemon Stadium had alternate colors for Pokemon depending on their name (# of characters, caps, etc).
