GENERAL NOTES
------------------------------
* In this category, all major upgrades must be obtained. This includes grabbing Varia Suit from the statue rather than getting it automatically when obtaining the fully-powered suit.
* Decent hive room :)
* I was more aggressive than I needed to be with farming missiles in Norfair (could save a couple seconds)
* On that note I also didn't skip any refills that a human would take (Ridley, Long Beam)
* Ridley unrage would have saved a small amount of time
* Zeb skip with Wave Beam sucks
* Now with arm pumping!
* Most strats are perfectly human viable. That Tourian really is not.
* Any and all mistakes are RNG manipulation dude trust me
KNOWN MISTAKES
--------------------------------
* Took the long way out of Pre-Varia
* Totally ignored the screw blocks after exiting Ridley
* No Ridley unrage
* Other minutiae like breaking spin where it can be avoided, lack of corner boosts
Thanks to dragonfangs for his video showing off the timesave for late Ice Beam and the Zero Mission community for running this cool category.

Today I learned you can just *missile* your way up to get the screw attack. Damn.

Honestly early Varia suit is genuinely one of the more straight forward sequence breaks, it's only like, 2 sets of bomb jump climbing

@@thrasher698 but it also requires some level of skill with the bombs ibj. Which is why it is so satisfying to pull it off.

I wouldn't say straight forward, if someone is familiar with ibj and attempt to get Varia suit without power grip it becomes alot more difficult.
13:06 didn’t even know that those guys could be killed by super missiles.
When was anyone gonna tell me you could kill rippers with super missiles!?
Love seeing a TAS’d Varia Suit. No one ever does it since you get it automatically.

Yea this was a fun one to do. Was interesting cuz you otherwise never see it. Might redo this sometime. :)
Awesome work!!!
Nice TAS
Awesome

God video
Does changing the sound settings to Headphones do anything to save time, or was that more for the viewer's experience than anything else?

Purely for the viewer :)

theres an easier way to get super missiles, do the shinespark puzzle in upper brinstar.

Very cool glitch.

I've actually done both 18:41 and 22:12 with no TAS before, but not very often. Requires really fast reflexes though (or button mashing mastery at least)
