For those that apparently don't know, this is a TAS. This means that a variety of gameplay tools such as savestates, speed altering, frame-by-frame inputs, etc are used to try and play a game in a way that is borderline perfect. Most of the time, a TAS run can be considered not humanly possible due to the limits of hand-eye coordination speed. So everyone who calls it a hack/cheat can just shove it already. These are to show how much of a limit the game has and is not intended to be an actual measure of runner's skills.

When it came to the boss select theme 2, you know it sounds like it's almost the end for them unless they stop that virus. Not to mention the ending theme sounds like the enemies have won but it's not over yet for Megaman. I haven't played this for a while but the music had some good meaning to it.

I loved how this game was a tribute to the classic and X series. It was supposed to be the swan song of the X series, and the Zero series was to pick up after X5's end. Why did Capcom have to ruin such a great legacy with X6 and X7?

Sigma always gives me the creeps, man... When I was younger, playing this game, Sigma always gives me this fear, but not to the point that I can't kill him. I'm trembling, but challenging.

I love everything about this game

X begins the game with the armor from X4. If you play through Zero Virus Stage 3 with no armor, you can get the Ultimate Armor from the hidden area, which he then uses to blaze through the game.

It's explained in the link included in the description. To get all the parts, you must defeat every boss at level 8, at least. Their level increases as the timer decreases, and dying progresses time by an hour. As such, a 100% run requires that you die a few times, because the bosses aren't level 8 yet at the start of the game.

+Tobias Ortiz Inafune had to make the plot more compatible, because he intended to make X the next main villain. Copy X was created in an emergency. This is why Zero comes in X6 like nothing ever happened. In X6 ending there is space for the Zero series, but then, x7, x8... The plot is really full of holes that Capcom seems unwilling to fill

See how each game has an ending that leaves the player wondering what would the next game be? If Capcom finds the next formula for a next game, they will milk it until it gets saturated... See megaman 9 and 10? The same goes there

I almost forgot how much text dialogue this game has. Good lord.

Supposing your refering to the suicides at around 11:00, it's in order to raise the levels of the bosses. It has to be of a certain number for their armor part to be collected. I think it also has other requirements, but it's been too long since I played the game.

In addition to my previous post, could you explain something- in the video description, it says that you suicided to raise the bosses level to 8. Does that mean that the bosses get stronger the more times you die? Also, it says that that's how you get all the parts- does that mean that some of the parts aren't available if you haven't lost enough lives?

I don't know if people just didn't read the description, but the suicide was intentional on the bike. It's the fastest way to get to the continue screen and jack the levels. People don't really "make mistakes" in TAS runs like that...

It's mostly luck on what happens and depends on which of the left 4 bosses you beat. Some times it will destroy the station, sometimes it will slow it down. It's mostly random, depending on what the player does.

It's not programmed, it's slowed down and re recorded. And usually the top players, the ones with the world records are the ones who do these TAS videos since it takes a great deal of speed running knowledge to have a TAS video world record.

I LOVE the fact that they play tribute to Megaman 3 and original Willy-esque challenges. they said THIS was supposed to the last one...till they didn't anymore... lol

To those not in the know, TAS means "Tool Assisted Speedrun" and other variations. Meaning he used a program to play the game for him. This is a test of know-how and strategy, rather than game skill.

it was the exact opposite for me. X5 was the first X game I ever played so when I played X4 I was like, wtf I can’t crouch? why?

You are Wonderful.

The beginning boss exploded and spreaded the sigma virus which cause a buncha a reploids to go maverick. Since the whole earth was bascially covered with it, you either had to finish all the mavericks and beat Sigma or crash the entire base.

One mistake, Zero was not meant to destroy X, because X didn't exist when Zero was created. He was meant to destroy EVERYTHING!
