FEZ is a 2012 indie puzzle platformer video game developed by Polytron Corporation. The player plays as Gomez who lives in a peaceful 2D world until one day he receives a red fez, which gives him the ability to change perspectives, where suddenly the world isn't as 2D as it appears to be.
With the ability to change the 2D perspective of the world, and with several hidden secrets and codes to discover, Gomez has to find all the missing cubes that broke off the hexahedron, before the world collapses in on itself.
Wobmiar ( tasvideos.org/Users/Profile/W... ) reaches the main ending in record time.

It was a very fitting touch. Thanks EZGames69
ngl this is me when the universe has fallen apart on a molecular level but i realize it doesn’t really matter and proceed to do a kickass drum solo anyway
I do like how this TAS cuts though the smugness of the ruder puzzles like butter.
I used to love Fez candy. Had one of those little dispensers with Donald Duck on it.

@@J-M777 Right! I was making a dumb joke😄
Fun fact: There was literally never a time when the speedrun timer _wasn't_ called "GottaGomezFast" internally 🦔 Shame that the TAS goes so fast you don't get to see the preview thumbnail when starting speedrun mode!
Whether it was playing this game 10 years ago and thinking I was getting somewhere by deciphering the in-game language, or sitting here watching this TAS right now... I still have _no clue_ wtf is going on in this game.
This speedrun rocks!
A delightful oddity. Thanks for the upload =)
I remember playing the demo of this game on my xbox 360, good times

When even the purposely built speedrun timer is also broken, you know this run would be wacky.

I actually do a glitch to break the timer when I reset the run entering moon ^^ RTA categories don't do it
renaud bédard, brandon mccartin, and disasterpeace did a very good job making this game by themselves :)

judging by the other comments, people have a rather complicated relationship with this game!
Ah yes. The product of the Judas.

Never forget that he had no faith in BoI.
Isn't this the game made by some guy who told people to end themselves on twitter of stuff like that?
I'm sure this TAS is fine, but like the game proper, I couldn't even get through half of it. The game was just such a huge disappointment to me. I probably expected too much or the wrong thing of it.
THE MOST IMPORTANT GAME IN THE HISTORY OF THE UNIVERSE!

Never forget why the Judas in Binding Of Isaac wears the fez! And btw: BOI is way better than FEZ!
This game must not be very good if you can beat it in 20 minutes. No wonder it never got a sequal.

Nah, it never got a sequel 'cause Phil Fish is an unstable manbaby who _really_ shouldn't have had a public presence on the internet. Dude once said something to the effect of 'if you monetize Fez videos you owe me a cut and if you don't it's basically piracy." I dunno when streaming really hit it big, but I think it was after the 360 era, right? Can you imagine the gasket this guy woulda blown seeing dozens of people streaming Fez after it went live? All personally jumping into chat to scream at streamers, all yelling back on Twitter (and possibly ragequitting it again) after getting banned. I know this was a bait post, but the history surrounding the game and its weirdo creator is always fun to talk about.

@@prismaticowl He's right though. Money streamers make from playing a game should go to the game devs.

@@prismaticowl I think copyright should be abolished all together. But most people who defend streaming don't go that far. And its weird, right? The Copyright system is permissive of derivative works only though licenses and purchasing rights, but videogame streamers rarely deal with those. If you support copyright law, you have to face that career games streamers don't face the hurtles as a career cinema streamer or music streamer would need to overcome. Why is that? How do you deal with that dissonance? Many people point to games streaming as uniquely performance art compared to the other two, but I disagree. That definition depends on arbitrary goalposts and imaginary hard genre boundaries. I deal with the dissonance by saying "full stream ahead" and abhoring copyright. idk though maybe I'm just built different
