@@ze_zamzam Tas-only airwalk is the strat where you get airwalk (which is where the game things you are still on the ground i.e. walking while in the air) which when you get it as a human the most you can do is dash twice midair (as the first dash was from the ground according to the game) but when you do it as a TAS you can unpress and repress jump in the same physics frame and that allows you to jump out of airwalk and you keep it

@@orionalbeniz9945 This is a different glitch, I think its called wall cling storage and you can get it after going through a boss gate as it opens. There are some runs where this can be used by speedrunners, but its kinda a grey area when it comes to nmg (no major glitches) since it gets used for the increased horizontal speed when passing through the door, but not for the additional wall jump mid air.

@@kalengray4073 Yeap, because they didn't damage cancel the animations where the bosses yell. Usually, you'd be hard locked to do anything, but this removes that issue. Of course, if a skilled player did the one hit speedrun, it would obviously win this.

@The RPG welp really late but I will explain properly (if you don't understand, just know that I tried) Gender is _really_ complex, there's not just male and female, there are many more unique gender, that include non-binary/genderless. He/She is use to refer to people who are male/female, but what pronoun do you use to refer to people who is not a male and even female, that's right, you use They/their/them. Well what do you know, they/their/them has 3 ways (as far as I know) to refer to people: + Refer to multiple people at once + Refer to a person that is non-binary/genderless + Refer to a person whose gender is unknown Some people can also use he/they or she/they which mean they are male or female but not really That pretty much all I can explain, hope that help.

Chain all together and you have a frameperfect pantheon run even tho only macros did the job executing these perfect jumps etc. Just wanted to make clear for you. This is not possible for a human. Or atleast not so consistent etc. :)

Everyone’s over here talking about the tas respect but I’m more concerned about how well synced the music was with the end of the sheo fight. It gets super epic as soon as it starts, goes silent as soon as he stands up after dying. Sheo speaks and bows, and then the final note plays. I want to listen to that one part on loop for an hour.

If you're curious of the charm build and/or the insane dps output (maths): (tl;dr is at the bottom) *CHARM BUILD* Unbreakable Strength (3), Quick Slash (3), Fury of the Fallen (2), Nailmaster's Glory (1), Steady Body (1), Shaman Stone (3) 13 charm notches used - overcharmed, optimal for activating fury quickly during vengefly king and absolute radiance. *DPS CALCULATION* (please take all of this with a grain of salt i dont know the inner machinations of hollow knight yet) Fury + Strength gives a 170.6% increase in normal nail damage (no nail arts, nail arts are only boosted by fury), so 21 + (21 * 1.706) = 57 damage per nail hit. Quick slash = 0.28 seconds for a full nail hit animation Shade soul (+ shaman's) does 40 damage (yes, that's less than a nail hit. however, the startup is a few frames faster so that's why the TAS opts to use it to finish off bosses) Dash/great slash does 141 damage because 57 * 1.75 = 99.75, which the game takes to round up (for some reason) to 100. (Only fury is in this calculation) Also, cyclone slash, (depicted below), would theoretically be the highest single-move dps at 273 damage, but the dps is actually LOWER (not even counting the charge time) at only 114 DPS. *DPS CONCLUSION* This build does *203 damage per second* on average (only normal nail hits), but at its peak, this build can hit 261 DPS. (Dash/great slash + 3 nail hits, but the 0.75 sec startup for dash slash makes this only good on bosses like Uumuu) This insane dps is higher than any human can hope to achieve (fury cyclone slash at 114 DPS for 2.4 seconds before having to recharge for at least 0.75 seconds). This cyclone slash calculation {[26 * 1.75] * 6 = 273 / 2.4 = 113.75 DPS, without cooldown} also explains why the tas never uses it. For reference, Absolute Radiance has "only" 3181 HP. tl;dr of this whole thing: this tas does 203 dps, dash/great slash does *100* fast damage also, compass + swarm would have made the tas do 99999 damage per hit but we dont talk about that edit: updated a bunch of maths, added why no cyclone slash, added calculations, added tl;dr, updated nail art calculations, added compass, removed Herobrine

Weird, I thought I saw him tank a hit using one of those charms that negates damage randomly to skip collector?

you can skip screams by opening up the inventory frame perfectly and some bosses you can skip the scream by looking at the map

Most bosses can't be hit after inventory skipping, and there is a few frames of space btw, and I think this run follows nmg rules

@@apocalyptapig6088 That's just airwalk which is NMG, but there's no way a human could do so many frame perfect jumps in a row. In speedruns you can for example use the same trick to dash twice in the air.

does dash slash have fewer recovery frames than great slash? i see you using it in a few situations where it seems great slash would've also worked

Yeah, TAS is the best speedrunner in the world. Holds records for nearly EVERY GAME. He's so good that most if not all leaderboards exclude him. Absolute god of a gamer.

It's not that difficult to make it up to godhome without health upgrades, I managed to do it in steelsoul myself

the radiance climb uses a TAS only glitch that uses the airwalk glitch to just go zoomzoom upwards. This glitch can also be seen in for example the PoP tas, where the TAS skips an entire vertical room almost

@@mreevee7785 the inputs required to execute this airwalk trick are so precise that you need to let go and re-press the jump input on consecutive frames each time you want an upward momentum boost. Imagine it like jumping over and over again while tricking the game you're on the ground for long enough that you have a one frame window to do another jump. A human executing this input precision not only once, but multiple times to have a climb like this is completely unfeasible

What an amazing tas; I never could have imagined these bosses all being taken down so quickly! Even knowing it's a tas, I still couldn't help but be anxious from how close you clung to the bosses. Truly insane strats and skills; is a fun watch!

I'm new to HK, just now beat Hornet and I don't understand anything I just know that nail go zinn zinn and that's enough entertainment for me.
