King is mainly based on cynthia rothrock, a famous female action star in 80s hongkong movies

The game has those movie references because the objective of the story and design direction was feeling like a 80s american martial arts movie. Sadly the "Sf plagiarism" problem distracted everybody too much (understadably) to get that feel and appreciate the game.

As músicas desse jogo eram sensacionais desde apresentação até os créditos parecia aquelas histórias de filmes dos anos 80 e90

I remember seeing this fighting game in the arcades as a teenager back in the 90s the first AOF, heavily influenced by street fighter.

What always was noticeable to me was a few things.... Robert intro combo on Mickey. The first kick hurt effect SHOULDVE been the second kick hurt effect😂 and Lee hurt cry 😂 its just perfect

Adoro o Ryo. O cara luta bem pra caramba. Ele arrebenta com o Haohshokouken e com o karatê kyokugen. Só é uma pena que aí na franquia do AOF ele não tem o golpe novo da época do KOF 98,o golpe novo da época do KOF 99 e o Special que ele dá um socaço mandando o oponente pra muito longe e ele fica zonzo.

Parabéns mano!!! 😃😃😃 E obrigado!!! Ver gameplay do mestre Ryo e sempre MUITO BOM!!!! OSHIETE YAROU... KYOKUGEN NO KOBUSHI WOOO!!! ORA ORA ORAA!!!!

Ainda o sonho com um reboot em que tenha um modo história nos moldes de MK/Injustice. Quem sabe uma parceria entre a SNK e a Warner.

É engraçado (mas trágico) que dá para comparar com DB e DBZ. Quando vem Kof 95 e o Iori, é parecido a saga dos Saiyajins: FF e AOF começam a perder valor assim como alguns personagens coadjuvantes de DBZ... E de Kof 96 em diante, quando os inimigos ficam mais mágicos e místicos (que é comparável com as sagas seguintes de DBZ), é só ladeira abaixo para a reputação de FF e AOF...

Como me costó pasar este juego. Nunca pensé que fuera tan difícil jaja hasta rompi la palanca de la maquinita de la bronca que tenía jajaja. Buen video. Un detalle curioso la música que suena cuando peleas con ryuhaku todo es la misma del art of fighting team en la kof 98

Todo mundo se fixou demais em criticar as "cópias de SF" para conseguir apreciar as ideias do jogo. Principalmente a direção narrativa do jogo, que é algo que, na real, nenhum jogo da Capcom se aproximou em toda a era dos fliperamas. Só nos SF mais atuais mesmo. Mesmo a grande maioria dos jogos seguintes da Snk não tem essa mesma visão narrativa.

Most games the character usually doesn’t wear a helmet I’ve noticed. No idea how, the wind pressure would have your eyes tearing up every five seconds lmao

Kof Xiii got to make that reference, but it's solely for Aof female chars. So it feels like a Aof particular reference. Just like that very distinct sound effect for specials and dm's, in modern Kof's. I wish the clothes ripping and that sound effect - and i'm also adding the face bruises - could be universal effects in a new Kof. That sound effect was universal (mostly) in fact in Kof 94 iirc, but later it was abandoned.

It's frustrating to see how many interesting ideas the old Snk made that stayed buried in the past, are never brought back and developed by new games - with all the advantages and possibilities of the avaliable technology... So it's like, in this case any evolution of the series is necessarily impaired, if they refuse to pick and gather all their inventions for a new production. In the 90s the devs were truly pushing things to the max, with the tech they had at each different point. The later generations of devs started to accept or abandon arbitrarily their inventions from previous games.

Pô No0b, só faltou usar o especial, achei que ia usar no Mr. Karate. No mais, belo TAS, como sempre.

Pena que o Ryuhaku Todo caiu fora do final do AOF 1 e a filha dele,Kasumi,entrou no AOF 3. O cara foi substituído pelo Temjin no AOF2. E também não consigo entender porque o Lee mudou a roupa dele no game seguinte? Tava ótimo com esse do AOF1. De cenários apenas o do Mickey é o único que eu não gostei. E o de BGM apenas o do Mickey também é o que não gostei. Além do que,o visual do Mickey ficou ruim. Mas ainda bem que consertaram tudo dele no game seguinte.

@Krodork Achei ridículo no AOF2 o Takuma usar só a calça do kimono pra lutar. Ele geralmente usa o kimono branco por completo. Vai ver que dispensaram o Todo no final do AOF porque ele tava muito mais velho do que o Takuma. O cara merecia uma chance no KOF. Mas não... focaram mais na filha Kasumi por ser mulher e por ser jovem.

Cara,ha quanto tempo... Eu me lembro desse game e do sucessor,o AOF 2,no fliperama... O único ruim dos dois Art of Fighting junto com o terceiro também é que vc tinha que ficar enchendo a barra de power carregando a barra pra fazer os golpes e especiais sendo que em outros games não tem isso. E era um saco vc ter que ficar se afastando do oponente pra carregar ao encher a barra.

Na prática era meio "ruim" mesmo, mas eu prefiro não julgar de forma tão negativa e apreciar a experimentação dos devs da época. Não existia nada "gravado em pedra", nenhuma "lei". Literalmente ainda não existia barra de especial... a Capcom não tinha pensado nisso. Eu acho que só precisavam de mais tempo para refinar a ideia e tornar ela mais funcional dentro da partida... Kof até deu uma chance para ela (tá certo que uma versão diminuída), mas infelizmente os jogos depois de 98 a abandonaram mesmo como "opcional". Mas dá para ver que jogos mais para frente conseguiram dar a ela uma forma um pouco mais funcional, como Kof 98 e principalmente Cvs2. Então era uma questão de continuar refinando a ideia. Infelizmente cansaram cedo demais e AOF morreu cedo demais...

@@carlosaugusto9821 Poderiam terem feito AOF4 e Fatal Fury 4 embora este pareça mais com o Real Bout Fatal Fury... Mas a história original do AOF acaba no 2 porque no 3 a história é bastante diferente por não ter o Mr.Big,John,Jack,Lee,Mickey,King,etc.

FF é provável no futuro, mas AOF eu acho difícil acontecer. Porque parece uma coisa bem "do seu tempo"... Tem a pegada das histórias meio que imitarem filmes de artes marciais americanos de anos 80, os próprios chars serem originalmente baseados em alguns artistas, etc... E a cronologia original de AOF realmente combinava com o estilão anos 80 mesmo.

Recuerdo la 1ra vez que mire ese final en los árcades mirando a los jugadores continuarle hasta casi 10 intentos para vencer mr karate y para que al final nos salgan con un *to be continúe* fue algo inesperado para todos

Clássico. Roteiro claramente inspirado nos filmes B de porrada feitos nos EUA, que eram sucesso no Brasil na década de 80/começo dos 90. O roteiro de Garou Densetsu também foi inspirado nessas tramas. A concepção e propósito do Rugal também foi.
