Really easy, hard to mess up. I added cinnamon and walnut pieces into the compote as an addition. Turned out to be really delicious ! Thanks !

Probably not, the apples will darken and leak juices, simply re heat later and serve warm.

@@recipe30 One more question if you will. The recipe calls for four apples. Two for the compote, two for the tartes. But it looks like you only use half an apple per tarte. Or do you fan out the slices of a whole apple on each tarte? Thanks!
