I lived in Tarpon Springs for 20 years. This has to be the most thorough and well put together video on the town that I have seen. Excellent job!

Great video. I lived in tarpon springs for 18 years before moving back to long island

I had no idea that sponge harvesting was more important than citrus or tourism as an industry in early 1900’s for 30 years! So awesome that you featured this place 🙏🇬🇷🙏

Nice little town...some history ..OVERRUN with tourists and it was a week day.

I was born there in 1948, lived on cedar st. Walked the sponge docks many times, swam in buyou and fished. It's a beautiful town, if your in Fla, you should visit Tarpon Springs. You won,t regret it.

This is one place I did not know existed as a OG Florida resident. Definitely need to check it out next time I'm in my home state.

In 1953, one of the best movies was "Beneath the 12-Mile Reef" about Tarpon Springs, starred Robert Wagner. Was one of my favs in the 1970s.

OPA!!! Got back from my Italian dinner, stuffed to the gills, but couldn't wait to watch the Tarpon Springs video! All I saw was more food I wanted to eat, LOL! Randy, this video was amazing! The cinematography, the narration, the music, the information on all the things to do, eat, and see in the area, it was just spectacular! I'm especially interested in seeing Brandi for blood and saliva analysis and Wellness advice, I could really use that right now! Going to put Tarpon Springs on my bucket list too! @@TampaAerialMedia Dinner was great, I had the "Sunday Gravy", which is the traditional Italian grandma spaghetti with meatballs, pork, and sausage, delish! But cheese is my fave, so I was dying looking at that saganaki, LOL! I was celebrating getting a new job tonight! As much as I'm dying to move to Florida, I got to get the money to do so, so I'm starting the new job April 10th and I'll have more money to contribute to your videos! And after I put in a little time and earn my vacation days, I'll be down to Florida to visit, and hoping to run into you!

dear Randy; I hope you are well, it's been a while since I watched your video (due to work overload, I don't have much time to watch youtube). otherwise, i didn't know there was a greg community in florida. for information, the greeks were dominated for a long time by the ottoman empire (current turkey), suddenly the greeks were influenced by the ottomans and we find that there is a lot of resemblance in the greek and turkish gastronomy. Good luck for the future.

Great video man! You cover it all. Transplant from Pittsburgh 5yrs in Tarpon as a fluke. I just picked a town close enough to Tampa and got this and every other great town nearby...Dunedin 😉. Out on the gulf bouncing around on my jetski island to island as much as possible!

We live near Tampa and visited Tarpon Springs a few weeks ago. Didnt have any idea where to go but we just walked. Ate at Mama’s. Was pretty good. My hubs loves Greek food so for his bday next week we’re going back but want to eat somewhere on the water. Any particular recommendations? This was extremely helpful! Thank you! 💕🙋‍♀️🌴

May I point out that I just went to Wikipedia to confirm a suspicion I had? I found that Dodecanese is Greek for "12 islands", is pronounced dough-deck-uh-KNEES, and is named for a group of Gk. islands of the same name.
