A super effective Baby Tarpon fly that's easy and fast to tie. One of our favorites to throw at backwater Juvi Poon on the Space Coast. Hook size and color can be changed to fit your specific needs. Also a great minnow pattern for Snook, Redfish, and Trout.

🔹210 Denier Flat Waxed Thread (White)
🔹4" Section of Mono (foul guard)
🔹Barred Rabbit Zonker (White)
🔹Med. Peal Palmer Chenille
🔹EP Minnow Head Brush (Backcountry)
🔹3d Eyes (Pearl)
🔹Super Glue or Zap A Gap

How does the fowl guard work when it doesn't cover the point of the hook?

It's not a weed guard. It's to keep the sinker from wrapping around the hook
