TARLAND 2 SCOTLAND AND UK BEST TRAIL CENTRE BY FAR -------THIS IS BUCKET A LIST RIDE

Спорт

TARLANDS 2 in my opinion the best trail centre not only in Scotland but the whole of the Uk.
Its hard to capture or describe the EPICNESS of this place. Even with a drone you can't cover it due to the enormous length or the red and blue.
Watching my own video you cant fee how good it is . You have to ride it and within first couple of berms you know just how perfect there profile and curves are.
Go ride this place asap.

    Im moving to Tarland soon, looking forward to checking this place out. I normally prefer steep and tight(like innerleithen), but will still be good to have this on my doorstep

    I seem to be in the minority of riders that felt underwhelmed by Tarland. Maybe it’s because I know the quality of riding available in Aberdeenshire so a theme park of berms and smooth trails seemingly built to appeal most to E Bikers really didn’t do it for me. Well worth a visit if in the area riding the myriad of naturally built trails but once was enough for me. Still great views and seems to be bringing them in so thats a positive.

    Hey its completely normal. Everyone is different and most are picky about there type of riding. I really ride a greate mix and appreciate moste peoples point of view. I have also heard that its allready very loose and full of breaking bumps which has diminished its perfection

    I had two batteries. One new 750wh on old 500wh that's giving out about 400wh now. I would have managed 45 miles on both but the ruined tyre ended it at ,5200 feet of climbing

    BPW is a bike park not a trail centre! So it's not in the comparison. Trail centres just to clarify are free to ride!

    Understand your point, and putting aside bike park/trail centre bit, it’s a subjective comment. But that said Lazy MTB Rider (thanks for the vid BTW) is right to be so enthusiastic about it. I’ve ridden both and they’re very different - BPW definitely has less flow but more variety and much more challenging blacks but honestly Tarland (I live thirty mins away) is well worth the visit if someone of beginner/intermediate ability wants something bermy, very well designed and constructed with doable doubles and jumps. And while it’s new, no braking bumps

  • @flippy66

    @flippy66

    Жыл бұрын

    @@emotioneering It's not subjective though, there are very clear delineations - bike parks have uplift services and charge to ride. There is no uplift at Tarland and in Scotland you can only charge for uplift, not for access to the trails. The UK (and Scotland in particular) needs much more of this. Nevis Range should step up.

    It’s a trail centre not a hotel. It’s Scotland’s first proper trail centre so its not going to be perfect, if you want an uplift go somewhere with one or ride an E-bike. As for the cafe and camping facility’s you need to realise what a trail centre is, its for bikes, you want to camp? Goto a camp site. It’s a great trail center beacuse of the trails thats what it was built for, not for camping or anything else.

    Give it time, it’s only been open a couple of weeks. There are toilets. Glenlivet can support a cafe so maybe that will come. You would have to look at the numbers first. It’s an impressive place though. Hats off to all involved.
