tarkov with voip have enuinely been some of the MOST fun ive had in tarkov in ages, playing with scavs feels so much more like a survival experience instead of a cod experience, people arent running around screaming racism and swears, ive had a round with a friend on factory where we went to office and another team of two were going "oh friendly friendly, were just goin to run by dont worry", so we aimed at the doors incase and told them thats fine, after a second they breached the doors and we both headtapped them :D

I guess that means you haven't met me yet, yelling insults insults is my only use for voip. That and blasting 12 000 hz sound with my soundboard. Most Tarkov players have very high sound, 12 000 hz bursts their brain, try it, it forces them to lower their sound or suffer. Oh, and you already hear footsteps from the other side of the planet, so this actually makes it harder for people to pinpoint you.

first experience with voip was with someone trying to sell off lab keys for a shit ton of roubbles and when someone offered their custom AK instead, the dude took it, killed the guy who offered him the AK and then told him that it was cash only before he died out completely. i think the inertia addition is the only reason i may start playing again, it was my biggest gripe with the game, it felt so realistic with all the other stuff but the movement made it like any other ab-usable unrealistic shooter

One time I ran into players as a scav but I didn't have voip on because I plugged in my mic after I launched the game but they left a salewa for me in the doorway of the room I hid in

VIOP was a gamechanger. i was highly doubtful that the tarkov community would communicate and still shoot on site. I now have a different perspective of the tarkov community.

Very touching short essay

Inertia, and killing A/D strafe makes this tactical shooter...actually play like a tactical shooter. AD spamming is arcadey, cheap, and bullshit. Also, despite you and other youtubers showing all these cool voip interactions, I *KNOW* if I get back into EFT everyone's just going to quiet and shoot on sight.

I've played 60 raids in the last 3 days, I'm around level 14 right now. I've had positive VoIP encounters in 75% of my PMC raids and 100% of my scav raids. It's actually a breath of fresh air. The community is pretty mature which is something the *majority* of us expected seeing the learning curve.

@@Isaac-pb9iw of course, you can still use A and D to strafe from side to side. But, you can no longer spam A-D-A-D-A-D to jiggle at inhumane speeds. There is now a maximum trigger/second on strafing, and a hard coded animation involved. There's now a moment of delay much as if a human being needed to change pacing and footing to strafe.

I think with VoIP the best thing could happen is you having a sniper watch your back while pushing the enemy but if he is friend you start to distract him and wait your friend to snipe him as an ambush.

Wow, I never realised what a game changer voip is. Imagine, just imagine we had a worthy Battlefield sequel, with improved destruction & voip. It would be so epic.

As a solo player, it is extremely annoying to constantly keep running into 4 or 5 man teams. Although I will say with VOIP, you can at least plead your case!

I don’t know if it’s possible but I’d love if there was a way for the devs to add reverb to the voices that changes depending on what environment you’re in so that it actually sounds like the in-game characters are talking… Useable radios would also be awesome…imagine hearing your buddy speak through the radio one second, and then next moment you hear a fire-fight and call his name through the radio but there’s no response. Would add a whole new dynamic to the game…

Its always a bit of a risk to include VOIP in a game. It's so easy for it to just turn into a huge, toxic cesspool and I'm happy that it looks like the Tarkov community is mature enough to handle the responsibility.

So far my most memorable moment this wipe was running into another player, he forgot the key to the offices in Big Red on customs, he asked me what I was doing, I said pocket watch. So he agreed to help me out since he had nothing better to do that raid since he couldn't do his quest. Got the pocketwatch, and survived together. It was awesome.
