To be honest cosmetic stuff like this probably the most harmless thing BSG could monetize. Selling ammo/guns/armor on the other hand would be pretty egregious but I don’t think that would ever happen due to the obvious public outrage it would cause.

Right clicking the apparel will preview it on your character.

Thank goodness they added a tk punishment in spawn. Had a match not too long ago that the guy tk'd me before the gates opened every round. Got to a point i tk'd them first every round to just get to play some. I was so confused why that was being allowed.

the problem is going 0-5 gets you further faster than going 5-4.

On one hand, I think it is a neat idea to have the clothing you want off the start, give off a bit more originality. On the other though it is sad because it used to be having certain clothing meant something. I'm conflicted.

Honestly it would fit for tarkov make the abandoned sanction where you purchase every person's kit. Would make people not quit if they had to pay for nine peoples kit plus their own. For the people that are playing the free presets make them cost 80k for the sanction price

@@Star_cab that's the thing though there's a difference between your internet cutting out and you getting disconnected and you going and hitting quit match after hitting esc. Most people that disconnect get back into the game like my friend that disconnects every few matches because of his interwebs. Just to be on the safe side make it where it's until the end of the match if they do not rejoin the match they pay for everybody's kit. Tldr if you don't rejoin or is waiting on your game to load by the last kill of the last round you pay for everybody's

There is so much new tactical clothing coming out of Western and Eastern Europe IRL, it should be easy to do. And good. I personally am fine with all current MT and would be fine with even more, till "everything is obtainable via playing". Beside buying high tier ammo/armor/weapon/money with Real money. Maybe a single package, obtainable once per wipe or to fit EoD package thats all. (So diffrence between EoD and last avaliable edition)

I want them to add patches that can be put on clothing, backpacks or armor, attainable from tasks and microtransactions. Different country flags to represent your nation; complimenting patches with achievements like "Kill Killa 15 Times as PMC", you get a purple rarity patch of a Killa helmet. If you're Sherpa, you get a Sherpa patch of red rarity. If you participated in a tournament, you get unique patch too, or if you've reached a certain rank in Arena, the patch transfers over to your main account. It's such an untapped feature with so many options. It'd be big money for the studio too.

There's actually a glitch in arena that happens when you're playing with a group. When the host starts the search, there's a chance someone can be left at the main lobby. This might be the reason many matches don't start. Still think people don't pay attention, but the glitch does exist

imagine unlocking clothing stuff for eft in arena with grinding and spending time

i remember buying the stash one. and hearing u can also earn them later forever if u do a lot of quests :( but this is cool. but where is my outfit i use a lot lol.

Until desync is fixed to a somewhat "playable" level I won't be returning. I really really REALLY WANT to want to play Arena but I can't force myself to want to play it. I can't enjoy it in the current state even though I truly WANT TO love it.

I completely agree honestly the desync and arena just showed me how many of my kills in actual tarkov were so scuffed because of desync. So many times I've unloaded a MAG on some dude and is in the middle of reloading and dude shoots and kills me and then I didn't even fire a single round on their screen. I've even had where I've prone and laid over to have a sneaky angle and on their screen I am literally standing in the middle of the plane

@@Ithrial420 yep that right there is is so toxic it literally makes you feel like you are cheated. They probably should just disable death cams until they can fix the dsync issue because you genuinely feel like you're being cheated when you see that crap.

I think this is a very slippery slope because, even though small, clothing was a big checkpoint for at least my friends. Now you can just buy this achievement that used to take a lot of time.

For now the quest locked outfits are not purchasable. I don't know if that will last though. The only ones you can buy now were only locked behind levels and cash.

I don't like the idea of weapon skins. Unless they are camo. But BSG is all about having very little locked behind a pay wall so I doubt we ever see unique clothing. I could see 1 outfit per faction if they do tho.

So, anyone who's lucky enough to have the purchasable clothing as favorite clothing can just buy it, meanwhile I have to grind to lvl 32 or so to get the commando sweater. Thanks BSG, for trying to squeeze more money out of us instead of fixing the countless bugs, broken features and letting cheaters run wild. It's not every day you see someone with 80 hours playtime, 30 KDR, lightkeeper and all the bosses achievement, oh wait it is every day.

Harmless things to the overall game is a good thing. It means BSG have more capital while the game overall isnt affected.

It does not. Each armor acts individually.

I've had Tarkov for just about 2 years, and just started Arena two weekends ago. I think as far as ease of entry goes, these changes couldn't have happened at a better time. Best thing I've noticed, just play with friends. Its the same formula in any game with pain points. Its not the only way, but at least you can laugh about a TK, or when your certified Timmy randomly pops off. Would rather have those memories stick vs random trolls or spawn campers sap the fun from the game.

How can you say there is more risk in ranked mode? What you dont think chads will run around in ranked? I fail to see how unranked will be of any benefit to anyone.

They need to add a wrist band with your team color that is visible by you in game. Make it a little easier to not team kill.

I'm saying something that is visible to you at all times on your screen yes you can tab but if you are staring at someone not sure which team you are on you are risking death by opening inventory.

The problem with cosmetic microtransactions is it puts the profit on easy to make content and makes hard to make content a waste of money to develop. Eventually, like every other company before them, bsg will realise this. When they do, they may not make any of the dlc they said they would make when insyead they could make cosmetics. They might also consider going f2p as that would massively increase profits. Call of duty started with weapon skins, now they have full blown loadouts. Overwatch went f2p so they could sell more cosmetics.

Well they cut out nearly a minute of the pre match clocks, so thats a little help atleast. But yes, the load times are also a bit much for a tiny ass map with no loot or AI on it.

the teamkilling punishment increase is much needed. there was this guy who lost 1 round sitting in the tower on Bowl and he spent the entire 2nd round yapping abt it without anyone even telling him off over losing that round. I then called him out on his yapping, that he was ruining team's ability to listen for audio and he killed me at the start of every round until we inevitably lost bc my team was playing 3v5. imagine being that petty lol

The only thing I don’t like about the purchasable cosmetics is they are higher level l, in-game outfits. Like don’t take away from those of us that do the grind.

​@TheArbinator that's a problem BSG built themselves into & could easily fix. One simple solution is to give everyone the same 3 or 4 free tier 2 kits as soon as you unlock 2 or 1 tier 2 kits, but there are other options that would also reduce grind and possibly be more elegant

You either let monetization happen or tarkov goes away. They are now finding that balance of monetization vs people leaving the game.

I'm fine with purchasable cosmetics. But that's it, cosmetics. NOT FUCKING STASH SPACE. Edit: Honestly, I'd be fine with them selling gun skins but I want it to actually look cool like a M4 with some linen wraps and rugged looking with a bullet at the stock that has the words "Mercy" then it points to a bullet.

I love that they did this. Feel how you want, but not everyone has time to grind out levels, so being able to buy drip that's locked behind high levels in a game that wipes every six months is a nice little win.

Why are you so bummed? How did you think they were going to support the game? It's a necessary evil and I have no problem supporting the game I love to play. So long as they stay cosmetic only.

Never playing it. From the twitch drops killed my mood for the game forever. The rewards were so bad... I am apualed. Main reason why I stopped. 2. They should have gaven 1,000 free game copies not 3 day trials. 3. The lag/desync that I acutally hit them.. oh no yeah didn't. Then it was. 4. Hacking...

None of the outfits are decent tbh, so it's pointless, high level players will just be buying the same ones they always do
