I am very, very bad at Escape From Tarkov when it comes to playing online. I want to get better at it, so if you have any tips or suggestions, please feel free to leave them in the comments below! Make sure you stick around until the end of the video for a laugh. Thank you!

My advice is build a put a blue laser on your gun, do factory offline with bots turned up and practice getting point-fire headshots. Point-fire is the meta for close-medium range, the sooner you get okay at it, the sooner youll be slaying PMCs. Also always wear ears even in factory, hearing is sooo important in this game

Thanks Brett! I’m so bad at hip firing especially without a cursor so that’s a great tip!

I recommend practicing on reserve offline with bosses on go strait down and fight the raiders turn on power fight raiders again. Then if you survive go find gluhar and try to kill him and all 6 guards.

Online is not offline. You have to move and not stand still at the spawn, these are the first points to expire. In addition, it makes no sense to play without a headset, armor and with a weapon without a red dot. With no armor, you're one-tap on chest even with Shotgun Scavs. In addition, Factory is only for good PvP players or for those who want to become one. You will often get kicked in the face there. Oh yeah, don't have gear fear in the game, if you have it you have to overcome it.

Thank you for all this solid advice! Much appreciated! I’ll definitely keep it in mind on my next run. Any maps you suggest for beginners? Where is the best place to get armor and headsets?

@@kolbystergaming At the beginning you can not recommend a map. If you want to make progress you have to quest and thus the maps are given to you. For example, I only played Shoreline in the beginning and stayed away from the resort and only looked for PvE fights. Headsets are available from LV1 retailers. Would recommend the M32 from LV1 Skier. Armor is difficult at the beginning. There's little left but a Paca or play LV1 Ragman's 6B5-16 Zh-86 armored rig. However, it is very expensive for an LV3 armor. Otherwise, you have no choice but to become L15 quickly in order to gain access to the flea market. Alternatively, look for PvP and try to take other people's armor. And always wear a balaclava so your head doesn't glow so brightly (Ragman LV1). I always played offline a lot at the beginning, so I know the routes of the Scavs, that makes it easier to recognize PMC/Scav players, especially in spots where there aren't any Scavs running around. What also helps is to find a teammate who has experience and approach the whole thing as a duo. Always play the scav as soon as it becomes free, so there is always free loot (weapons/armor) that can help you at the beginning. Finally, I recommend the wiki, it contains a lot of information that the game doesn't tell you, such as the damage or penetration value of the ammunition.

if u play solo your already at a huge disadvantage. theres a small icon by your bottom left corner that lets you know how much noise your currently putting out. scroll ur middle mouse wheel down about 3 clicks so u make a bit less noise, never wear a backpack as a pmc, that shit give u debuffs to your movement and ergo and other debuffs as penalty for carrying more items. u can wear a backpack in as a pmc and press z+z quickly to unequip the pack, but that has gotten me killd so i stopped doing that. shoot. repositon. dont stand still while hipfire unless its a scav u know u can easdily kill. dont loot items as a pmc other pmc are hunting the loot locations asap. ratting is the only reliable way to get kills in this game. if u dont rat your fighting against ping, and the enemy pmc, ratting is just the go to move espcially at this point in time right before wipe in august. dont get discouraged i play this game like 3-4 hours a day and i extract maybe 1-2 a night. right now everyone in the game thats still playing is hi lvl and using kick ass guns your going to die, frequently. when i first started online matches my kda was .45 right now im at 1.32. dont give up is my main bit of advice and report everyone on the lighthouse map most the cheater reports ive gotten come from that map. i report almost everyone. theres no killcam in this game and you cant ever determine if the kill was legit or not so i report everyone and let bsg deal with it.
