Yeah definitely. What pisses me off is that while people are dirt poor and have nothing, there are people with way too much, way more than they could every possibly need, and these people don't contribute to society anymore than the poor farmer who grows their food does. I can't help but wonder why we don't just tear this whole evil, corrupt system down. I'm not even poor, I'm pretty lucky but I see how fucked up things are so I have a strong desire to tear it all down.

Black Wall Street (1906-1921) was actually a bustling black commercial district in Tulsa, Oklahoma. It consisted of black owned banks, barbershops, clothing stores, and grocery stores. This was/is the epitome of black economics in amerika until it was destroyed by racist whites. The three main thoroughfares were Greenwood ave., Archer, and Pine streets, which out of respect, the GAP band was named after.

Hmmm. Why is this segregated city not supplying jobs. Is it the fault of the surrounding cities and communities? Is Chicago being held back by non blacks in other cities? Does Chicago not have a city council, mayor, and other city officials that can do things to free up the market to allow businesses to flourish? Do Black people not speak about being self sufficient and independent? Help me out here. I'm just asking some questions.

Real talk about segregation here in "Chiraq". Unemployment doesn't make you kill or hurt people though. Years ago, men traveled across the country when work wasn't available locally. u.s. history calls it "the great migration". They lived in MUCH worst conditions than modern Chicago. No record of them killing one another like now. The true problem is that "black" folk have no identity, and continue to follow whatever dogma given to them. They don't know their GOD (YAH), and do not serve Him.

It's about time someone was honest about Chicago violence .. lol I was so tired of Mainstream American media saying "What's wrong with black people in Chicago?" haha The real question his "whats wrong with Chicago?" There are a lot of things wrong with that City. It's a great place to visit but I could never live there.

desegregation an integration arent necessarily the same thing, but what Tariq is talking about is the segregation that needs to be corrected, the economic segregation, them coming into our neighborhood but us not allowed in theirs or it being harder to penetrate.

Careful! Truth does not reign supreme around these here parts. smh I'm just waiting for a politician to come out with legislation to pass dismantling Sec 8. RESTORE welfare back to its original intent: support low-income Sr citizens, and to help struggling families that fall on hard-times FOR A MINUTE. All these generations of welfare recipients are bleeding us tax-payers dry. Meanwhile, working families are losing their jobs & homes. Where's THEIR help? It's not fair. smh

He's right about one thing, here in Chicago. They have uniquely cut blacks off from jobs, from owning local businesses etc. I live in Chicago and it is almost impossible to get to these 'jobs' because they are way, way, out in the suburbs that you cannot get to, even by public transportation.

People always saying Blacks complain to much about racism, but if it is effecting Blacks everyday of their lives then we should keep complaining about it until something gets done. Tariq hit everything right on the head and I salute that Brother for Hidden Colors 1 and 2. He calls people out on bullshit all the time, including the racism this Country has displayed for all these years. Blacks need to stop spending money on frivolous nonsense and start investing into Black Businesses

As a 35 year old man that lived in the heart of Chicago (Englewood) for 29 years I'm soooo glad that someone outside of Chicago recognizes that it's so racially divided. When I move to Michigan I was shocked to see that blacks and whites live on the same block. As with Chicago, every race has it's own section of the city. If a white man walked thru Englewood everybody had their eyes on him and was curious.

If pot was legalized, regulated, and tax the heroin use would decline big time and the justice system could focus more on violent criminals. Gun regulation and accountability and fines for firearms not being reported stolen can alleviate gun violence. More routine searches leads to more cops which leads to more jobs. Encouragement of education, graduation, dedicated teachers, and after school/summer programs can lead to more job creation.

I bet he would'nt feel the same if he went on the south side or west side. Cause you go to (1) section of Chicago don't mean you know the whole damm city. What your saying for the most part is true, however you forget that back then in the 50's and 60's you didnt even need a high school diploma for those jobs. so it was very easy to up and leave a place that was paying a great wage and you didnt have to bring anything to the table but a good work ethic. Now you need college to even be competitive. its not the unemplyment that makes you kill... its the idol time and idol minds which is the devil workshop that gets you into things u shouldnt be doin

In 1921, because of segregation blacks were forced to conduct business amongst ourselves. This had an unexpected outcome and resulted in THRIVING BLACK COMMUNITIES all across amerika, but most notably in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Seething w/jealousy & hatred, whites began to riot by dropping dynamite on innocent blacks from airplanes - making this the 1st aerial bombing on u.s. soil not 9/11. Before we collectively build businesses, we need to build a BLACK ARMY to defend the "New Black Wall Street".
