For whatever reason... I'm pretty sure it's the same "whatever reason" that they're still trying to change the name of Fairy Penguins to Little Penguins - performative, and ignorant, allyship. You know that if you think the word 'fairy' is insulting, that's on YOU, not fairies... right? Eyeroll.

lmao, my first pride after telling my mom about my gender issues, when I was first trying to figure stuff out. One of the stands had someone passing buttons out, (with the same statement) and my mom got me one. I wasn't fond of it, I thought the exact same as your comment. So in Sharpie I added a little 'don't' at the start of it. I'd like to think I present masc enough that even if people 'can tell' I'm AFAB, they know what pronouns to use for me. My ideal life as a trans guy is being recognized as male presenting, not needing a button to open a kinda personal discussion with potential strangers.

It is, sadly, a product of the homophobic society we live in. That being said, those of us who know better *might* end up getting some sense of amusement of the not-so-smart things those self hating queer people say, simply because what they're saying is just inaccurate and nonsensical. That, or they just have a tendency to laugh whenever they hear something they don't like, like a sort of defense mechanism.

The one garment I would hugely change is the boiler suit. I LOVE the green jumpsuit but hate the text so much. I wish they had leaned into the MLM color scheme with maybe some teal white and blue florals or maybe designs coming from the ankles up. They never put the MLM flag on pride merch and I totally wish they took the opportunity to go bright and retro with the green jumpsuit that totally fits already!

I have the crossbody sling backpack and it’s really cute. The zipper tags have aroace, bi, gay men, and pan gradients on them and the zipper seams have a pretty rainbow gradient. Capitalism really pops off sometimes.

You could do a video ordering Pride merch from queer owned small businesses? I may be very biased bc I’m a queer small business owner but I’m also a content consumer and always love to see a good product ordering video

I love the swim shorts! I don't like wearing bright colors because I'm shy and don't like to draw attention to myself so those would be perfect for me for pride. Love the overalls too and the bikini (but the fit wouldn't flatter me.) My perfect Target Pride event outfit- -Skelton T-shirt (with a few alterations to turn it into a cropped tank.) -Checkered swim shorts - those Checkered socks - the flag collar (even though no Pan flag.) - the rainbow tote - my black boots

im disappointed (but not surprised) that target removed many of the pride merch bc there's a lot of independent artists who signed contracts to sell their pride designs with target but now they won't, and since they signed those contracts they also can't sell them on their personal stores, only target can sell them, if target decides to in the future, and it really sucks. queer creatives got screwed over
