I have a 1978 Dodge D150 with a regular cab! I bought it from a guy who had installed a small dual 10-inch box behind the seat! With the limited space... I have just installed 2 Skar VD-10 s with an RP 1200.1, and it pounds! I've been looking at Dyno videos of the Marts and Taramps amps. I have enough room to put a 3 or 4 12-inch enclosure behind the bench seat! I think I want to do 3 shallow mount 12s and pair them with a 3k or 5k amp! I can put the amps under the seat!

The takeaway for Taramps is you better upgrade your electrical if your going to run these amps. Lots of current draw.

@@gelatoconnoisseur5389 I always recommend a battery and an alternator not one or the other as well as a big three. I do understand that sometimes you can only do one at a time and I am actually working on a video about that very thing right now. For you though I’d say definitely do a big 3, add a second Battery as soon as possible or switch to lithium completely. At least a 240 alt as soon as you can

Bottom line there like #1 budget power. Im sure they can blow or catch fire but properly installed/powered its equal risk with any amp.

Sam(Barevids) has an amazing explanation of these amps and the tech. Big D threw it in his video too and did a bit of a colab with him. It's basically impossible to test the current draw and efficiency on them iirc. The smart tech is too fast adjusting for the clamp to sense

Could you run a test again a little bit lower voltage. I want to see what they do on the low end.. it says it can do 3000 watts at 12v

Because I don’t like seeing the it done three times, because the amm-1 doesn’t automatically do them. I have put in for an AD-1 but right now they are not being made and the final reason you are literally the first person that has asked for one. I feel like most people run most amps up to the clipping point or even beyond and that most people watch these to see the limit of what a amplifier will do but you can slow down the video and see what the wattage is right before the clip light comes on and that should give you a good idea of what the certified score would be. I hope that helps and I am sorry if I let you down in any way. I really mean that too. If I get the capability to give a certified score without doing too terrible much, I will.

Nice video, I liked the dyno. If you want to be more engaging when speaking to the audience, focus on the lens of the camera. You will be looking at us then. ;) Peace!!!
