Teach Dem, you did it again. Give thanks for locating and interviewing the living legend, Tappa Zukie. I hope this interview is at least 21/2-3 hours long, no 1 hour business for this icon. I was playing some of his releases on his label Stars and New Star, top tunes. Talented artist and producer. Nuff blessings mi artist and producer.

"I say people are you ready?" , Bow! I was in Grade 7 when that Tapper Zukie tune came out in 1978. We had to hide and sing it, my parents didn't take kindly to taking God's name in vain. Zukie was also a prolific producer. Will definitely lock this in. Respects to Teach.

I had the privilege to meet and reason with the great Tappa Zukie at the great Earl China Smith yard 3 years ago. When I told him that his tune Tribute to Bilo was an anthem for us growing up in Zim in the late 70s he was really amazed. Big tune it was and it was the song that got me hooked into reggae music, and at the time I was about 13 years old. Respect to the Living Legend.

Great Great Great interview teach dem. At one time it was all over the plc which is very uncharacteristic of u but when I realized dis man legacy and influence on the music industry I realize now dat he has many facets and many that r not even know or documented. When u touch him like u do many of the older artists if their house is in order to generate wealth off their hard earned blood and tears in the industry I was sadden but not surprised by his response. His pitney and grand pitney could live like the Marleys because of the work the work he put in and his influence in the history or reggae music. Man remind me of my father in his response to u questioning him several times about the same issue. When u touch him about his health and his efforts to heal himself dis is definitely my father. Stubborn and tuff. Luv the interview. If I was a law firm in Jamaica I would be rounding up all the older artists and representing them in the industry so that they could collect what is rightfully theirs. His foot print big like jah Thomas but he's not getting the recognition or monetary rewards for his legacy. I will be doing some tune finding on those big music media's to take in some of his great works.

I trace Tappa Zukie's part of speech to Ground Gourd from Colaz Smith Tv it is quite unique. As if Tapper Zukie is her Grand Father.
