She does have one. But lots of treatment and exercise can look like this.
I'm a guy with DR (weight related), about to have some physio done. Never thought about this but sometimes my front does feel vulnerable.

Yes, men can have an abdominal diastasis as well! Creating tensile strength at the separation can help weakness in all genders.

Question would this be better standing or laying? My DR is huge and I look extra pregnant when I wear clothes would this help push it in temporary to dress up

Hi Kayla, We usually do this in standing to teach abdominal muscles how to turn on against gravity. If a person is looking for structural tissue support, they may need an abdominal binder or support for lifting. The kind of taping in this video may stick out or curl up underneath clothing.
How long it takes to heal
what is the difference between crossed in an angle and just doing it horizontal?
I'm doing other exercises for Dr like leg slide pelvic tilt toe touch, can I Combine those exercises with this tapping method??

Hi, is this safe to use during pregnancy?
😮does it matter how long I have the diastasis? Iam 77 and my muscles separated after my first pregnancy at 19
Seems like it's more about muscular SUPPORT, not activation

If you support the muscle back into its proper position it will help the muscles activate properly

Hi Agnes, you can wear it as long as it sticks and is comfortable. If you are using it for exercise or running, it may need to come off after if you are sweating.

What about bigger bellies? Would love to see an example for that. My belly button goes in because of the weight. Also, could this help with bloating?

@@sel9070 Yes, this can be done with any size belly. The taping is not treating the cause of abdominal bloating but could provide abdominal support and lift.

No. Leave it on as long as you are comfortable. Once it is removed it will not adhere as well.
