"I am not sure whether this is the best way to arrange it" is pretty much standard operating procedure for Tapestry inserts, I think. 😂 I have the previous version of the Folded Space insert (before the latest expansion released and they added the colours outside). Interestingly, all player trays are the same long rectangle shape as your white one (which I really like). So, as you can imagine, there are a couple of differences to compensate (mainly the arts and player cards tray being a different shape). But it also fits all 3 expansions and all sleeved cards (barely). I don't think it would accommodate the plastic landmark bases though. I have my game board on top, rather than on the bottom, mainly because it's easier to take out to play without moving everything. It doesn't wobble and helps keep things flat (the player boards are nice and flat above). Anyway, using the insert is an adventure. :) Fun video!

I am going to have to try again with the board on top. It seems like that should work with the insert I have too, but it wasn't working well for me on the first try. Maybe I didn't have all the boxes set firmly in place. Thanks for watching!

I've just put the new Folded Space insert together, but I used Variant 1 as I don't have the landmark bases. I've put the map on the top and originally found I had some lid lift, about the same amount as you have. However I was able to eliminate it by making sure the buildings and the player piece boxes didn't poke over their inserts. Not sure if it would help you with the extra Etsy pieces and extra dice, but I found if you stand all the little income buildings up in rows in each players tray it maximises the space so there whatever is above it can lay flat

​@@BillyIndiana We finally included it last game and it was good fun. Didn't really add rules complexity and gave us even more advancement choices to agonise over. I'd recommend it for your next game.
