    Oh my God Bruf buy a mud pump and no that's definitely humped to much mud on that flat at least that's what it looks like from the video, I own the same brand of tools they used to be called Premiere then they change their name to Blue Line now something else lol did you know here in America we invented those machines back in 1939 👍 just a little bit of History lesson

    Lot of north american guys talking about stuff they dont know about. Premier and blue line are american branded versions of 'tape pro' and Australian company, also its typical to use chemical setters there for tape and first coat. That said im canadian, not these guys, sure you could get an answer out of max tho

    Good to see these again, we(three guys) used them in the late 70's, tape bazooka, two skim coats( final skim coat the next day and sand) corner blocked an entire house in a day, didn't need to use the skim knife, just pump n go! Started off in the morning mixing 8-9 buckets of mud and staging them throughout the house, a great way to put on muscle too!😉😄

    The flatbox only use for finnel coat or can use for under coat too??

  • @Bandit-10-4
    @Bandit-10-45 жыл бұрын

    Just another point by using the paddle after the box you take the crown out of the joint, the boxes with the spring in the blade leave the joint slightly crowned that way when you get a small amount of shrinkage the joint ends up pretty flat and when you go over it with either a second coat box or a topping box it follows the same crown and you don't get pinholing in your top coat if you use it pump you don't get The Dag in the mix as you have got in your ceiling with a bit of practice you can go over the joint with the box one pass leave it and top it and you will double your speed using the boxes in that way ,you are not much quicker than trailing by hand it still is a bit but you could double your speed by not using a paddle sorry for the long rant

  • @Maxkil

    @Maxkil

    5 жыл бұрын

    I hear you man. Makes sense. Just every now and then you get some debris in the way, and the paddle is good for taking that out instead of doing it again. What boxes are your first choice? What do you like the best?

    You should be using 3 boxes. 8.10.and 12 inches. 1st coat with base then 2nd and 3rd with watered down and drilled topping compounds. You should also be using a pump with a meshed filter to fill your box. Then u don't get dry bits of compound stuck to the blade on the box creating a drag line through your work

    You make this look very easy, hoe long does it take to get the hang off? I'm a plasterer, I've only done a bit of taping. But several years ago I smashed my elbow to bits on site but these tools look they might enable me to earn a living again.

    How do you guys go with the ultra top? I had a lot of trouble with bubbles creating pin holes. I am a builder who does extensions, so I only have a little experience with plastering....

    Yeah it always happens when you go over something that's already painted. Also I should always give it a proper mix up before I use it otherwise it's difficult to put on.
