Thanks for the info. I almost got my 125cc ToaToa done but the throttle cable was different and the vid didn't show how to put throttles back in place. I appreciate the time and effort your put into the for us to use.

That crap in the carburetors is what happens to fuel when it breaks down, most people don't know but gasoline is only good for a few weeks. You need to add a fuel stabilizer. I use stabile at lowes. That applies to any small engine. Lawn mower , atv, weed trimmer, etc , Use the additive every time you'll never have an issue with anything starting

Thanks for making this video, fixing mine and I believe it's the carbourator, but instead of attempting to clean it, I found one on Amazon for $12 USA (mine is smaller than yours, mine a 125cc) I mainly dident want to deal with drilling the screw thingies out

Need good advice 2013 Tao 110 , do I have lock the hand break to start it, it does nothing with push button, can jump at solenoid and it cranks, getting fuel, not sure about fire cant see from the other side by myself. I was told the foot break pedal had to be mashed down, it does not have remote start, help !

How do you fix transmission?

i was recently riding mine and it choked out ''green horned'' while reversing is yard still trying to get use to the throttle feed for this type of atv well after returning to neutral it wouldnt start no even a sound checked battries and gas feed and then checked the clutch cable and all other possibilities and still nothing not even a sound..... when i press the start button it does nothing would you have any ideas.

Great video, I bought the speed outs, took apart the carb, sooo gummed up, still won't start. I don't think I was able to clear 1 of the jets, so for $12 I bought a new carb, still won't start, unless I hit it with a shot of starter fluid. After sitting for days, I tried it again and it ran for 10 sec, no starter fluid. Says to me that the carb bowl is not filling unless it sits for a while? Help..a little boy is counting on me

Craig Needelman hi Craig if you're getting gas , in other words stick your gas line in a cup and throttle the thing and see if you're getting gas going to the carb if you are then it is the carb even though brand-new there's something wrong with it so I would take it apart and make sure you clean out that one I showed you with the really fine hole okay I showed in the video using a wire from a wire brush or a really small twist tie you got to get that thing cleaned out brother so if you are getting gas then it is the carb if you're not getting gas then fix that problem but if you are fix the carb

Mine turns over but it wont fire up could it still be the carb

I had a crash with my Tao Tao four wheeler and now it just makes sound when I try too turn it on

Hey I'm new yo these Chinese toys. At 0.32 in ur video shows the starter then a silver plate that has a gear with a rod with a pin on it that is needed to turn the motor over . I have a brand new Tao Tao 110 coolster that we got last fall. it's only been run maybe 5 minutes and only around our yard before I put it away for the winter. Now it won't start. Do you really think the carb is dirty from just that short run? My other questions is, I tried to start it and keep hitting the throttle for a while and choking it and then taking the choke off and it wouldn't start. I pulled the plug and it's completely dry. I did this two or three more times and the plug never was wet. Any idea why I'm not getting any gas? I just drained the tank and put fresh gas in it and made sure the petcock was open. Thanks for your time and assistance.

Yeah John It is the carb, just like mine, exact same symptoms, spray some starter fluid into the spark plug hole and fire it up, it will probably start if you bypass the carb

Any one knows how can i get all the wire harnesses for this bike?

I found that it's usually the jets and the float needle stuck because of ethanol in gas happens when you leave it sitting for a while. And btw these carbs are only $15 on eBay.

Justin Riner it will fit this exact atv? I have the same one as the video and and I’m having trouble getting it started. I don’t want to do a carb rebuild or clean cuz I’m not good with that stuff so if the one from the link fits I’ll give it a try

how to know if the problem is fuel line, carb or some other fuel system problem? I have the Tao Tao 150 scooter that has been sitting for more than a year....put a new spark plug in it and charged the battery. It is starting but shuts down immediately after 2 or 3 seconds.

It won't idle because the carb jet is clogged so it stops just fix the carb clean the Jets it will be perfect

I have 3, 2 new 150cc and a 250. My issue is one of the 150cc will start but once i put it in forward and throttle it it keeps cutting out?? i called powersprts in TX and they are sending a carb. what do you do to avoid the carb and gas issues?? can i lave any gas in the card after use?

that "crap" in the carb is the result of ethanol in our fuel. Go to lowes or HD and look in the outdoor power equipment section and look for a fuel stabilizer, add it to fresh fuel , use that every time you buy gas for anything small engine like atv lawn mower weed eater etc and you'll never have a problem with it starting it will keep your fuel good for 6 months to a year

Maybe that crap is coming through the air cleaner somehow or maybe its from the ethanol in the gas or do you use non ethanol?

390FE no they only have about 5 miles on them I bought them brand new put them together and they're both exactly the same I have no idea it must be just gas that dried-up

I put in a new Carb and it started right up. Drove it to the corn and it bogged down and wont start now. The carb started back fire now after multiple attempts to start.

Greg Guerra I think some of the carbs come with that junk in them I think you need to rebuild it like I showed you on the video the Jets are probably plugged

99.9 percent of all your problems are carburetor related.... Rebuild it only takes an hour now you'll be good to go

You shouldn't spray carb cleaner directly into the carburetor intake the engine can blow up on you. Not a good idea take the carburetor apart then spray and clean

Family fun with four munchkins!!!!! Take the filter off carb and press throttle and see how far the little cylinder that the throttle needle goes onto moves. Maybe adjust throttle screw on handle bar outwards and see if it moves upward more

Daniel Noun hi Daniel I would spend the half-hour taking apart your carburetor and putting it back together again cleaning it all up with some carburetor cleaner and you'll be good to go it surely can't hurt

hey I have a question, I just got a new motor and carb put on and I went to start it and the ignition switch is broke so I had to bridge the solenoid and it cranks but it doesent start. I am getting fuel to the new carb but not sure what is going on, it sometimes acts like it wants to but its juts not, more so just cranking then anything. I was thinking maybe the CDI but if you have any tips or anything I need to check before that would be great!

And you can't use much cuz you'll ruin the engine but you can use a little bit of starting fluid and see if that will do it

I pulled out the line going from the filter to the carb and left the flow in the on position and it was flowing well so I was like alright, uhhh whats next ? well I then tried to adjust the a/f valve because it was tightend all the way so I did it about two and a half turns and then nothing again. but yea jumping the solenoid gets it to crank, I could careless about the switch I just want it to run since its all brand new. The only thing I could really think of thats really small is the gas. its been in there for some weeks but also its not alot in there but its also not empty. so I have been stuck for the past hour. I want to take it apart and clean it but its new haha it shouldnt need to be cleaned. maybe a faulty carb idk

No A faulty carb wouldn't do that It would be sputtering in all kinds of crap It wouldn't simply not start while cranking Try the can of starting fluid Don't use much because you can ruin the Pistons But if it cranks as soon as you apply it You know that the gas is not getting to the carburetor It could be getting to the hose Like you said But past the hose the elbow that feeds the carb Could have a bug in it Who knows It's definitely fluid problem Try the starting fluid

I have a TaoTao 110 the problem with it is that it will turn on and stay on if I hold onto the throttle but will turn off if I don't hold on to the throttle once I let go of the throttle the engine shuts off how do I fix this?

Sonnie Her it is the large jet in the carburetor if you soon as you let go it dies it means it is clogged it needs to be cleaned follow the instructions on the video it'll work perfect

Sonnie Her if that doesn't work try adjusting the carb with the screw on side tightening inward will make rpms higher and keep it running most likely, quick fix to keep riding without taking carb off sometimes works.

Sonnie Her it could still be one of the Jets need to be cleaned out it only takes a few minutes go ahead and just do that and if it still doesn't work you need to adjust the carburetor but I would say is clean it out first

but okay i hope you understand this ......... okay good morning im the guy from youtube well this is the story i buy this atv tao tao from china my son one day was using after that day the atv not show any power i turn the switch on but is dead no show any light so i put the battery to charge because i think was the battery and is fully charged input back to atv and still the same i change the fuse and still the same i dont know what is going on before when we try turn on show us like a blue light ok the little board like the switch is on but right now is completely dead i hope you can help me

I have a 125cc I forgot to cover it overnight and it was raining for a bit. Itll have problems starting but after a couple of tries itll start but when I press the gas itll shut off. Help?

Hey Arnold it doesn't sound like the rain did anything it just happens to be a fluke when it happened anyway it sounds like you need to rebuild your carburetor it certainly wouldn't hurt so give that a shot brother clean all the Jets Out get it all cleaned up ready to go and fire that mother up let us know how it went

Yeah you definitely have a short somewhere you'll simply have to investigate one thing at a time the water could have hit a exposed electrical circuit and that caused it to ground out you may want to move around all your wires in the loom everywhere you have just kind of give them all a little movement give him a little push and pull here in there you see if you can correct the grounding especially where you can see wiring touching the frame

I have the same four wheeler but mine has no gas on the throttle and wont even make a clicking noise

You can always go to Amazon and buy that carburetor for 50 bucks But if you want to save fifty bucks A few minutes of your time and it's done

Bought two of these used off Craigslist. They are Garbage money pits. Constantly having issues. We've replaced so many things to keep them running. Carbs, control boxes, voltage reg, coils, magneto, etc etc. They are constantly needing repairs. Frames are garbage too. Broken and welded frames on these. They are cheap yes, parts cheap yes but if you put a dollar value on your time, effort and broken down time they aren't worth buying for a dollar. Invest in a real quad and avoid these garbage wheelers.
