I've always adore her walk like it's so powerful and full of slayage, but she quit modeling and became a photographer. She used to be the subject of the camera, now she gets to sit behind the camera. Happy for her tho.

The camera always adds weight visionally but she was definitely very skinny , just not as much as some very skinny models like Vlada or Snejana also because she’s taller so her frame is obviously bigger but her legs were very thin.. Although she definitely looked healthy.

More weight doesn’t equal “healthier”. Modelling is for naturally thin people. Like basketball is for naturally tall.

She's really underrated! I remember her fall 2005/06, walking terrorized for Ungaro, and if I m right with my memory, chez Balmain. The season after she was already highly capable, she became a top model, but in 5 years she disappeared. What happened? She had all potentials of, for instance, a Natasha Poly who is still major. Yes! I m convinced she was a step above Sasha, Vlada, and the others. How I wish to know what was her obstruction, the factor she compelled her for a job at JPG, and then nothing more... She was elegant and the only misstep she made (extreeeemly light) was on the Dior 2009 couture show step's: the comments of many were that she was drunk, but none of these good observers have ever walked in extra long chiffon gowns with 60cm heels, so they don't have any credibility... She was a Nordic Fairy ( no jokes !)

Tanya D was MEANT to be a high fashion model she was just getting started too and was already at the level of Natasha POly, Carmen Kass & Mariacarla Boscono. I know her agency screwed her over(not sure if its IMG or her mother agency in Belarus) and it affected her career compledtely and probably traumatized her. This was definitely some kind of sabotage because she was absolutely captivating and everyone was in awe of her beauty,skills and evergrowing talent. I don't know why big designers did't try harder to request her and bring her career back to life. Maybe there was somethign more to the store too like harrasment etc

AFAIK she was robbed by her agency, changed agents and lost casting. As a consequence she decided to retire later studied photography at Maragoni in Milano. Though Tanya is steel invited to attend shows as a guest.

Her career was so short. Tanya should've had the same longevity as other girls in that era. I wonder what happened?
