Tansio Mirai X: A Lovely Musical IEM With Tuning Switches

Ойын-сауық

Tansio Mirai X, widely known as TSMR X is the 10th anniversary celebration IEM for the brand. It came out this year only as the brand celebrated its 10th anniversary this year. It is a multi-driver hybrid IEM that features a seven driver setup on each side featuring dual dynamic drivers in push pull configuration, four BA drivers, 2 from Knowles and 2 from SONION, and a custom film retarding driver. The pair retails for 399$ and about 39,000 indian rupees at the time of this video shoot.
This product has been sent to me by AudioGeeks India for the purpose of this review. I am thankful for them for this help and the opportunity to listen to the TSMR X, rest assured all the impressions in this video are my own based on my own experience with the set with no inputs from anyone.

Design wise the pair looks and feels elegant. The shells are completely transparent in a greenish tone. One can notice the drivers inside and the acoutic tubes going from the drivers to the nozzle mouth through the shells. I have no issues in terms of fit and comfort, the pair sits firmly into my ears and provides me with good level of isolation as well. I use Divinus Velvet tips for my usage.
The pair has tuning switches that help one play around the output with electronic crossover adjustment. The basic tuning is on 020 configuration, the bass enhancement is on 100 mode, and for low bass mode, one can move on to 003 mode. The tuning switches require a simple pin to operate, I used the sim eject pin for this purpose here. THe changes between the modes are slightly noticeable especially in the lower end region. The 100 tuning has a slight bass boost, adding more body, especially to the mid-bass. I personally preferred this mode for my listening so my sound impressions are entirely based on this setting.
Driveability:
No issues as such in terms of driveability, quite easy to power. I have used with ROSESELSA RS9039 USB DAC. Cayin N3 Ultra music player, and xDUoo XD05 Pro high-end portable DAC/AMP. No issues with any of the configuration here.
Sound Quality:-
The pair has a musical presentation. It is very captivating in its sound delivering high-quality, textured vocals, and a punchy lower end. THe lower-end on the TSMR X has good weight, good accuracy, and quick decay as well. Bass hits come and go quickly, with added mid-bass punch in the 100 configuration the bass has a weighted presentation. I personally love the slightly warmth that this bass punch adds to the TSMR X.
Midrange has a splendid presentation, especially vocals. They stand out with a slightly warm tone here. Both the male and female vocals sound clear, and have a clean textured, emotional side to them. Listening to, “It takes a lot to be a Man” by Damien Rice actually brought tears to my eyes, Vocals are splendid, simply splendid. Along With vocals, the instrument details in the midrange is also quite good, like Violins, Piano, Acoustic Guitar, they have such a clean and melodious presentation that I am in love with the pair.
Treble on the TSMR X is very thoughtfully and safely done. It has rounded notes in the Treble region presenting with a clean and smooth presentation on the Treble region. Although the tuning won’t please treble heads, for people who like a balanced and relaxed presentation are surely going to love the sound of the TSMR X. Treble doens’t feel lacking to me, TSMR X is actually a set that you can put into your ears and forget about everything else for a few hours, just getting lost in the music.
Technically, the stage size of the TSMR is very good. It has good width, and has a really good depth presentation as well. The pair surely gives 3D vibes and captivates me in its musicality. Layering, imaging, and positioning of instruments is quite accurate. Even in Busy tracks like Master of Puppets by Metallica, TSMR X holds up quite nicely and delivers great execution.
Final Words:-
TSMR X has a really cool sound, it is musical, it is fun, and it is playful. Yes you can play around with the switches and adjust the pair to your liking. For me, the musicality, the realistic timbre, the 3D stage, and the smooth, inoffensive Treble wins the TSMR X for me. I personally loved listening to the set, and I would say if you want a smooth and musical setup, the TSMR X should be on your radar!!

Indeed Pulkit. The TSMR X is a very nice set. I have not heard anything like it at this price point yet. Before this set, the Penon Quattro had wow’ed me by its musical and warm sound. This TSMR X is a cleaner sound overall as compared to the Quattro. I’d call it a different style of music delivery when compared to the Quattro. Some may like the Quattro’s more analog-ish sound while others may enjoy this TSMR X’s cleaner sound. One cannot go wrong with either of them though. Good review, thanks.
