You've gotta be kidding me right? For kids yes, it's the best event but no way in hell is it the best railway event! LR 2011 1960's gala, they went to all extremes to make this an event to remember, 7822 foxcote manor given the proper 1960's treatment of having the weathering, rust, and all fineries of the railway age (nameplate, numberplate) taken off and replaced with chalk. And with a complete 1960's atmosphere all weekend...

tell me about it, I came back from york with a leaflet for the West Somerset Railway and they had a Peppa Pig event advertised, it's got NOTHING to do with Trains! I could understand them having an event like Postman Pat or Fireman Sam but Peppa Pig!? I agree when you say Thomas is the best train event for kids. My fondest memory was of visiting Peak Rail, Matlock in 1996 for their Thomas event with Thomas and James.

'Thomas beats any Railway Event' Those were your words, and like I said, maybe the best Railway Event FOR KIDS. perhaps you didn't see my other comment, I do apologise, I had to write two because of the amount youtube doesn't let you write. My point to start with was that when you had put that comment up (which you have now deleted) Thomas events had restarted Ages ago. They sorted the contract out and got them re-running. And where the hell did I say I didn't appreciate the time put in? WTF?

God Jimmy the Jinty and this Lanky locomotive's faces look too much like Thomas and James. I'm guessing they must have been previously used for one DOWT event that was discontinued, and that the author responsible for creating the Tales of Jimmy the Jinty decided to just uses them as a rip-off of Thomas & the "Railway Series". Such disrespect, especially the issue of CRB checking(s).

Literally anyone can write stories about trains with faces. Thomas & Friends doesn't have a monopoly on that.
