Why did she have an Irish Accent? Was never explained in the movie I don’t think, unless she was an exchange student…

​@RONALDB62 I read into this and the original intent of this was that Maggie was an exchange student from Ireland. Harold Ramis and Brian Doyle Murray mentioned (not sure which one) worked with a girl who was a student from Ireland on the golf courses they caddied at. They incorporated it into the script, but the part where they explained it was cut out so it's left unmentioned in the movie.

Classic line and a great delivery...but she was TOTALLY miscast in Caddyshack. Everyone else was perfect...she sticks out like a sore thumb.
