I had a geospring hybrid heat pump water heater. Missed the warranty by 5 months for replacement parts. GE sold the rights to Bradford White. In order to get warranty parts I would have to hire a plumber to purchase the parts to repair the geospring. Yes you can buy the 4500W elements from a big box store. After adding up the cost for repairs I did decided to purchase a new heat pump. Bradford White heat pump was more expensive with 10 year warranty for parts. I decided to go with AO Smith heat pump which was a little cheaper with a 10 years parts warranty. Both have a free 1 year labor. AO Smith is a better heat pump. Yes they are expensive but save a lot more on your electric bill.

tankless water heater sure raised my electric bill really high..

Tankless electric makes no sense-tankless GAS, yes.

I recently took out my electric tankless water heater and installed a gas tankless water heater.(one that has a small tank for instant hot water). In two or three weeks I will get my nest electric bill and I will see the difference that it makes. I just happen to change water heaters at the same time they read my electric meter
