Recently, I found out that a game like Tanki Online is still alive. Moreover, it is developing and is now available on all platforms. That means you can play tanks in a browser, on your phone, or from the game's app. And it's optimized enough to play a little bit and remember your youth.
For those of you who don't know, this is one of the first massive tank shooters we played 15 years ago. Yes, that's right. This game was released back in 2009. And back then it was just bombastic. Because you could create any tank and get into an unrealistic meat grinder with it.
I spent a lot of time playing and destroying enemy tanks. It would be interesting to know my stats. Unfortunately, I lost access to my account and my old email. So I decided to try Tanki Online in the new year 2024 from scratch.

But seriously, Tanki Online remains as dynamic as ever. A large number of turrets, tank hulls, and drones. Each of the turrets has its specific style of play. In turn, the hulls have certain super abilities. By combining them, you can get a thunderous mixture with a deadly tank.
This game is far from realistic. It's all about quick battles on small maps. The start of the game begins quickly enough, there is always someone to play with. After a certain rank, ranked battles and global tournaments open up. If you decide to put your nickname on the leaderboard and get a bunch of interesting prizes.
I've played with several turrets, and you need to choose your style of play for each of them. Some are faster with less damage, others are slow, but destroy the tank with one shot.
I couldn't try them all because my account is new. However, I noticed that new turrets appeared and some old ones were modified. This is good, because before you could play with one gun and be a winner for life. Now there is a certain balance, as for me, and it all depends on your playstyle, map, and type of battle.
VIP access and purchases in the game store are generally quite affordable, and there are no turrets or hulls that can only be bought for real money that will destroy everything and withstand any shot. You can buy crates with a chance to get rare items such as turrets, hulls, colors, drones, etc. Crates can be obtained both for in-game currency and for real money. All is balanced. Perhaps at higher ranks, I would say differently, but at the beginning, everything is quite balanced. The only thing that real money gives you here is the ability to distinguish your tank by buying a unique paint, which does not affect the victories in the game.
Tanki Online is a game for relaxing - forgetting everyday worries and just shooting and driving. If you understand this, then you will like the game. Otherwise, it's not for you.
