Tank Building Process for Clean Drinking Water in Indonesia

Carlson Architecture is proud to invest in rainwater harvesting solutions for the families living in Indonesia. To learn more information and support this cause, visit www.coresolutionsindo.com.
This is a timelapse video that shows the process of building rainwater harvesting tanks that allow the families living in Indonesia to have a self-sustaining water supply. It's estimated that roughly 45% of the rural and village communities in Indonesia do not have access to clean drinking water. If harvested and stored properly, rainwater can be the solution for a sustainable source of fresh water for these communities for decades.

i have designed a lot of concrete structures , this design is extremely elegant, and i doubt whether it would be possible to design a cheaper or quicker tank solution, in a case where labour cost is low. .

We use the same method to filter rain water. Washing water goes through white sterasyl filters, and drinking water goes through white sterasyl filters , then black berkey filters Saved me having to spend 1000's on getting a bore hole !

Water collection is encouraged in Arizona and greywater collection is allowed as well. There are a handful of states that don't permit water collection or severely limit it. The antiquated water rights system of the western states may play a role in this.
