I don't know about that, they have been putting it down for a long while, so why does recognition only show up when their music takes a racist propaganda turn? They went from broke and real, to calling Black women and men monkeys and equating Blackness with every White stereotype possible in the duration of a song. People realize in a racist controlled world success and recognition can only come when you sell out.

@@MsJanise2008 sis it took me a few years. Once the hope for the relationship diminished I friend zoned him just to keep him in my life. After realizing that, I noticed my life was worth more than what he's ever had to offer. Once you reach that point, you'll see all different types of escape roads toward betterment. In the process, I've earned 2 degrees, upgraded my lifestyle, and have chosen to be not just stronger but happier, yes its a choice. Be grateful you have on your running shoes as you realize the escape route exist. I'm so proud of you. Keep it up, God is going to show you just secure more faith and know you deserve better!!!

Their songs are the type that you don't cover. You don't pervert the authentic songs with your own vocals. You let it breathe as the new entity they have created in the world. They bring me pure joy. "tank and the bangas" deserves more recognition

I discovered Tank and the Bangas on a podcast on a Friday morning. I was so intrigued by their artistry that I decided to search if they had any live concerts coming up, and low and behold they just happened to be coming to a city near by THAT SAME FRIDAY NIGHT for a free concert. It took me 0.00 seconds to decide to go, even though I went alone. This was by far the most magical experience I’ve had seeing a band. ❣️

Okay, okay okay but HOW can she have such range? Listen to the way her voice can change in an instant, but it’s all stringed together beautifully. This is true artistry and I don’t know very many that do it like them.

Jelly singing the constant hook in the background, "You so dumb" while Tank just gut punched you all over the place. Whew. That spoke to me.

That’s so awesome! The thing about Sofar (I think) is that you don’t know who the artist is until they come on stage, right? What a great surprise! I’m Leary of buying tickets to one of Sofar’s events because I won’t know in advance who I’m seeing...

Im obsessed with Tank! The entire band is so refreshing! Saw them live the other night and was a true EXPERIENCE!!
