Traditional Western dance forms are also wonderful. Not the modern garbage that people like nowadays, which is mostly inspired by hip hop culture. There is nothing much more beautiful than watching a ballerina appear to effortlessly defy the law of gravity. Or a Russian birch dance. And of course, the Indian Bharatanatyam dance.

Any art form, from any place, when it is performed with perfection, it is great....art brings us closer to our spiritual selves.. any form of art has that power...it just needs the right person to perform it...you are feeling this way because this particular dance piece is pure perfection... you will also feel this way, if a dancer performing a western dance form, performs with a high level of perfection and spiritual connect....when an artist achieves technical perfection and spiritual connect, that spiritual state can touch even the audience....it is actually a blessing to see an artist achieve that state while performing.

No this is not tandav. This is only dance classical dance. We can't do tandav only shiv can do if shiva's little bit energy is passes through us we can't take breath this is true and tandav is not that easy

Our old scriptures say that the dance performed by Shiva Shankara during the Yajna of Daksha Raja was further performed by Shankara's disciple Tandu to the accompaniment of dance movement and music. Since then, the dance of Nataraja Shankara became popular in heaven and earth as Tandava dance. So I just want to say this is indeed what we can say TANDAV.

This woman is so graceful divinely talented. Everytime I watch her dancing I feel proud from inside. I'm from Bangladesh & I'm a Muslim. Since my childhood I had an obsession for dance though my family wanted me to chose singing. But my cravings for dance won & I started to learn since my school days. After only few years of taking lessons I started to grow weakness for Indian classical dance forms esp Odissi & Tnadav. My orthodox dance teacher kept bashing me about my likings as according to her as a Muslim you cant learn/practice Tandav. But her petty dogma failed against my willingness & after my higher secondary I left her dance school & started taking devotional Indian classical dance classes in a new dance school. & till today Tandav is my favorite. According to me its not just a dance form, its a devotion that opens a bridge where you meet your soul.

I grew up in Canada, but my words can't describe my love for my Indian culture. How much I cherish it. Had I not known about my culture (thnx to my parents), I would have been lost in bad elements that we are surrounded by in day to day life. If you have kids, it's your moral obligation to teach them and make themselves aware of their inheritance and religion. WELL BALANCED belief system is scientifically proven to keep young ones out of trouble and others from depression. Please consider what i have suggested. Specially if you are from sanatan dharm, you are even more obliged as genuine part of this ancient lifestyle is very scarce.

In California you will find Indian dance teachers for sure but they may not teach Tandav. You have to start with basics first and it will take years to the level where you can perform this dance.

In Hinduism, It is believed that Devi Parvati is the life-power for Lord Shiva. Due to her presence, Lord Shiva can breathe, move, etc. When Lord Shiva lost Sati (an incarnation of the primordial Deity Adishakti) his sadness had given way to angry due to which he performed the Tandav. However in this video, I could feel the anger and the other emotions due to which Lord Shiva was carried away. Awesome performance Sayani.Om Namah Shiva.

As same as God is only one, only difference is different way to praise that almighty God,some imagine them and make their murthi and some do it without murthi both are correct nothing is wrong at the end ur emotions, ur feelings and ur love towards him matter to God not the way how u r praying.. Always remember this there is only one religion I.e humanity and we are slowly losing it day by day..

The dance along with the energy are mesmerising. There's real spiritual awakening for us all if we can tune in to the higher powers. I felt the power whilst watching. I can only imagine what Sayani Chakrobharty is feeling whilst performing. She's truly blessed and a blessing to us all. 🙏

She is immensely talented...we are so proud of u u are spreading the indian culture and its authenticity in such an amazing way ....thank u

I am mesmerized by the body control the expression its just too perfect to be true. I literally got goosebumbs watching this 🙏

The true essence of Shiva Tandav dance is the symbiosis and amalgamation of Shiva (Masculine energy) and Shakti (Feminine energy). I haven't seen anyone else bring out both these fundamental energies of the Universe in the way Sayani has done here. I have watched this countless times, and each time I am drowned in the energy that pours out of her dance. I had reacted to this video a long time back, and I still want to do another reaction to it.

I was trained in Bharatnatyam for many years in childhood yet I am in no position to judge this powerful performance ⭐✨⭐✨ Incredible Didi ❤

​@@radhika2075it's a costume but not the bharatnatyam one. Some Odissi costumes looks like this. But I am not sure if this is the authentic cut of the costume, if not definitely inspired by it.
