Can you compare tanchjim origin with epz 530? What are the main differences? I like sweet vocals and lifelike instrument timbre/separation. Actually I already bought epz 530 but I want your opinion.

The biggest difference between the 2 is that the Origin has an airiness to tone that the 530 does not have. There is a unique decay of sound on the Origin. But if you were considering these, the Simgot EA1000 is a better version of this sort of signature. The 530 is a sort of signature that was popular about 6 years back. It is smooth and has very decent detail. It has less of an upper mid emphasis which coupled with its smooth character can help in long listening sessions. I don't think you will regret the EPZ.

Is the Origin worth getting if I already own the A5000? I'm intrigued by the Origin's bass and vocal range capabilities, especially since I like the idea of more pronounced vocals. Would it complement the A5000 well? My current setup includes the Studio4, A5000, and MP145, and I'm considering if the Origin would be a valuable addition. Thoughts?"

I would say yes as the tone is quite different especially with regards to the airiness. You can consider the simgot ea1000 as well. I found that it has a similar tone but with better bass presentation.

@@tylou4479 full disclosure. I am part of the team that designed the Project M. The origin takes a more vocal forward approach to tone while the Project M is a more natural bright IEM that delivers great resolution at its price range. I would say that the Project M is more of all rounder. The Origin is a vocal specialist.

Can't decide between new moondrop x crinacle dusk or thieaudio hype2 or Tanchjim Origin.

Dusk is more laid back sounding great if you just want a relaxing listen that has good extension. The Hype 2 is a musical listen but i don't think it best the dusk in terms of resolution and extension. If you are considering the Origin, can I suggest looking at the Simgot EA1000 as they are similar but the Simgot has better bass impact and slam while they both share a similar texture.

They share a similar DNA. Biggest difference would be how bass is rendered. I found the A5000 to be punchier while the bass tone of the Origin to be airier.

is it better than blessing 2\3 ? \ quintet \ performer 5\8 ?

I absolutely love my Origin, it’s like a slightly better tuned EA1000 which is great! I’m curious during your testing did you use the treble enhancing or bass enhancing tips included? Or if you used other tips what were they?

I used a few. The included tips as well as the final type E. Found they work the best with the type E

@@audie588 the Origin’s treble isn’t as forced as the EA1000 so although the treble isn’t as extended as the EA1000, the Origin sounds better even at higher volumes without reaching shouty territory. The bass on the Origin also has better texture and doesn’t sound as bloated as the EA1000. That’s not to say the EA1000 sounds bloaty just that the Origin bass sounds assertive where the EA1000 seems to forcibly push the bass notes though the passive radiator mitigates some of this issues. Mids wise they are both pretty good, but vocals on the Origin sound more forward in a good way where it isn’t overly intimate. The bigger vent on the Origin also gives it a slightly larger soundstage. Though it’s still an IEM so obviously it won’t get to open back headphone territory lol. If money is a problem I think the EA1000 is still good despite the issues I mentioned so one could justify the cost there but the refinements are just more worth it on the Orign for a mere extra $40 more.

@@audie588 it isn’t technically better. I actually think that the ea1000 is technically better. But the origin is recommended if vocals is all that you listen to in music.

@@Hijynx87 yeah. same principle, same concept, same idea, same fundamentals, same result. but don't get me wrong, I love the Zero to the max. the best in its price bracket and perhaps punches above its price and punches others in its way too
