Great playing. Thank you for sharing. In terms of what the west calls “ethnomusicology,” this instrument is the historic link between the Persian setar and the Indian sitar. Knowing it exists makes the evolution of the sitar as a hybrid of this and the Indian veena so much more plausible. It is amazing to see such ancient instruments still being played.
