You have as an option to swap Gallows settlement for the Floating Mountain one as part of your peace treaty with the Dolgan. If you hire a second lord in Gallows before trading it away you can take it back next turn with that lord and force march Tammy towards the final Dolgan settlement. Hire a lord in Floating Mountain at end of Turn 2 and wipe out Dolgan by end of Turn 3.

I found it easy to zerg SE to eastern steppes and then conquer the great wall, send T south into Cathay, and get a second army to sweep around Red Fortress and the east coast. Getting the wall and its northern provinces is super defensible, and the eastern part of the map has most of the factions that you need to beat to level allegiance for chieftians. In my campaign, getting a peace treaty with Grimgor was easy once I started beating up on Zhatan.

I'm in love with the aspect of the campaign, what mod adds all that saturation?

Well, I think the part from this guide with getting Grimgor as vassal is obsolete, they changed something on the oficial release. For me anyway, I can't get Grimgor to be a vassal and I tried many times, I ended up putting him to sleep :)

Going after the chaos dwarf is probably one of the worst thing you could do. They make a very powerful ally that survives into the late game and creates a barrier between you and the the late game dawi tide. They will never break alliance while grimgor is extremely unreliable

@@milohenry1233 yup, from someone that played him until I could find the most optimal way. Kill grimgor and then the minor oger faction near him. Give 3-4 settlements to greasus (if needed small gift) (keep a settlement until he is ready to offer a defensive alliance). If he took the minor ogre faction settlement, go for the minor greenskin faction in the darkland, just grab 1-2 settlement to give e and you should have your defensive alliance. First chieftain you should get is the warrior of chaos one and get the level 10 skill giving you +relation with warrior of chaos asap so you can get friendly with archeon and get the tech for better relations for chaos dwarf and give astragoth 1 settlement for a guarantee defensive alliance. Then you can push on zhatan for a lot of good settlement and then push into Cathay. If you manage you plagued and make sure to always get the 200 or +5 growth point in all your province, you will make a crazy amount of money and I could field at least 4 toad dragon/hero doomstack and an extra 12-15k a tour at tour 100. Hope it helps

So, Grimgor can break off even if he is a vassal? Or, can you vassalize Grimgor and Chaos Dwarfs? I my play, Archaeon declares war on turn 17, even if I was in the green with him :(

@@SebastianZub that’s very surprising, don’t try to do anything with grimgor, he is extremely unreliable and even getting a vassal on him is almost impossible. Recruit the warrior of chaos chieftain as soon as possible, he is amazing in melee and that helps against grimgor spam and plus at level 10 (so only 3 level to go from recruiting him at level 7) you get +10 relationship with warrior of chaos. If you want to be a little extra send some small money gift to archeon but honestly as long as you keep a strong army/strong military power and have that bonus from the chieftain you shouldn’t have any problem

@@hknova683 Yeah, I'm on my third try (this time Archaeon didn't dec war on me) and I just can't get Grimgor to be a vassal. The difference from the video is a tiny orc faction (Tusked Sunz) that is around and I always get on war with them if I wanna get "Path to the East" region, and Grimgor isn't happy about it. And after that, vassalizing score for Grimgor is at -37, after I donate regions (with barracks build on Icepewer and Blizzard Peak) and getting his attitude towards me higher. By the time the vassal score start to drop, the attitude is also dropping so I'm not going nowere with this strategy. I might be doing something wrong, but I kinda also prefer the Chaos Dwarfs so I'll go with them.

I just wrapped up a campaign as T-man, on LV I found it super easy. I even played extremely non-optimal, took out Kolek, then Grimgor, then Greasus, Ghorst, etc, then B line with the big man to the empire. My thoughts: Tamurkhan's main army felt un-killable from turn 20 onward, I have not had a challenging fight and I fight a lot of manual battles and don't use mods. My secondary armies felt strong too (one exalted daemon, one sorc, epidemius and kugath thorugh conf) and I felt it was mostly due to the chieftain mechanic compensating the crappy nurgle recruitment. At a certain point (I think after turn 25-30) infections were no longer an issue but money was an issue across the whole campaign, I could just sustain my four armies on negative income, all the way till turn 60 (were I tapped out anyway). I'm not brilliant on the campaign map or economy side but my feeling is all the daemon factions are to an extent limited economically, no trade and no significant way to print money, not even late game kind of impedes what you can do. That being said it's great campaign, reminds me somewhat of grimgor's, I did feel like I was playing with final boss :))
