@@garyfreeman896 His style for sure isnt catered to competition runs... hes doing such odd unique tricks its hard to score his runs but theres plenty of skate legends that have gone through the same struggles of staying unique and true to themselves or conforming to the industry standards. Mike V is a great example of someone highly respected that was an outsider most of his career, like he just thought different and skated different then those around him at the time and his career had many ups and downs because of such... and of course we all know the Mullen story of being forced into street skating. One things for sure he might not ever be among the top ranked competition skaters but thats not to say hes not entertaining as heck to see in competitions, he surely always puts on a great show even if hes not doing the biggest and gnarliest stuff, there is a special beauty within his unique approach to skating... of course Nyjah, Yuto etc have there own grace and beauty to there skate styles too but im excited to see Andy entering the competition circuit, like Ishod hes just fun to watch skate and you know he doesnt take competitions to serious but rather is just out there to have fun and showcase his skate style. The few competition runs ive seen of his have been highly entertaining for the simple fact you know Andy is gonna bust out a few tricks in his run(s) that nobody else is doing... I imagine he has crowds form around to watch his runs like Rodney use to have in his freestyle days, where hed have like all the skaters watch him compete just to see what new trick he might do, see if he'll finally fall/make a mistake etc... I believe Andy has that same effect on other skaters, no matter what skill level you skate at or discipline you skate, I believe most skaters can watch and enjoy his uniqueness... of course hes no strangers to haters either and im not seeing hes universally loved by all skaters but I think a majority that watch him skate will understand that hes something unique and special and generally good for skateboarding. Hes a genuine skate rat though and through with a hungry/desire to learn as much as possible on a skateboard and I believe Andy will accomplish some legendary things throughout his skate career.

@@John-mf6ky IDK, I just watched Ishod Wair and Shane O’Neill’s runs (placed 3rd and 2nd) from the same contest and both had much more of a mellow flow and looked more at ease than Andy. I really like what he is doing for the sport for originality (or is it retro?), and making it a different way. He is super inspiring to most kids, to whom Nyjah is on an unreachable level of talent. But got to keep perspective. He is not in the same league as the guys at the top of the game in contests. There is a reason they are always at the top. Watch their parts.

I think he doesn't fit te actual judging system. Still he is one of the best I have seen, especially his balance and originality - creativity. I wish there were more skaters like him ... and maybe even more helmets.

Slordigaard for sure. me and my dad were rooting for him but he’s so different than everyone else that they probably have a hard time judging him

The judges score the tricks, not the run and a lot of the things he does between the handrails and the boxes don't show on their radar. To them it was just a couple of big ollies and board slides.
