Baker is a really good dude. Bunch of us high school coaches worked his kid camp. It was over 100 degrees and he stayed outside with us all day. Played with the kids and bull crapped around with us coaches. He is a class act and a tremendous human being. I hope that dude wins multiple championships. If you look back at Cleveland and you will see he really didn’t have that good of a receiving core and he did in things in spite of crap coaching. Then he played hurt. He is a dude! Tampa got a steal in Baker.

I remember that first game as a Ram, and watching his team mates' body language around him. His energy, poise and the effect on his guys was palpable. I remember being impressed with that by the third quarter, long before he even sealed that incredible comeback drive. Now, when I watch Bucs games, I see that same energy field around him. You can say what you want about Baker, the injuries, the batted passes, the commercials,... but you have to admit, there's something real about him.

He literally played ball and will know more than both of you ever will. Just because he has bad takes doesn’t mean he doesn’t know what he’s talking about. Also the top 12 QB’s all reside in the AFC so it’s really not that bad. Half the sports talk shows were saying love was gonna get cut after the year until he started playing well. Don’t get me started at Purdy. I like Goff but he’s probably around the 12th best QB at best, and Baker’s stock was low.

Did you account for the Bucs adjusting to a new zone blocking scheme early in the season? Most players over the years learning that scheme have said it takes most of the season to become a little more comfortable in that system. It explains why they are rushing the ball better now than in week 6. Also in week 6 the Bucs had some injuries on the defensive side of the ball? Their 2 high draft picks on the defensive line are also miles ahead of where they were in week 6. Why would you not account for any of this in your comment?

Hate to break it to Bucs fans but this is a worst case scenario for TB. Go back to what was it week six or was that just their point total that game? Ah yes...the Bucs broke out the good old team suckle jerseys with their legendary 0% winrate...and got essentially stonewalling in their own house... by the Lions. Inevitably someone will say, "That's regular season, playoffs are different." "That was early in the year not now when we are hitting on all cylinders." To be fair...boththings are true....but logically the same truths would apply to the Lions as well. They also are a more experienced, more dialed in unit than they were just a third of the way into the year. Thus...this counterpoint disqualifies itself by default since the same factors and impact applies equally to both teams. The real difference? Detroit dismantled the Bucs in their own house with count em...ONE starting player in its secondary and no less than five from that level injured in all. Additionally, we were without a starting DT a starting EDGE and the backup for either edge rusher. And our RB were gimpy. And we had a patchwork o line 50% of which was random heads just moved up off waivers lol. PLUS our rookies were still green, limited action and inexperienced. Does anyone sane really think the Bucs can go into Ford field vs. a HEALTHY Lions team, with rookies a full years game action and a playoff win under their belt, with the entire city and support if the sports world behind them and win? Bucs will be lucky to keep it close for a half. It wont be in the end. Backup ball and coasting before th 4th gets halfway, Lions are returning to the NFC title game and the Bucs are going to be exposed in grand fashion
