So I'm using Vortex, and I ended up using the "install by file" option and selecting the esm file. Vortex is telling me that the mods are "missing masters," those being the esm's for the dlcs, which I have installed. Are the mods still going to work?

​@@mctammerAlright, everything seems to be working. Finally ran into some Powder Gangers with some of your weapons. All I had to do was enable the dlcs in the plugin section of vortex and click the "install from file" button then click the esp from your mods. Works fine

@user-fp5ld7jr9b I disabled comments because I didn't want to get roped into doing tech support for everyone. Everything I know about making mods for Fallout has been distilled into those videos, and I have no more wisdom to offer, so I didn't want to be bombarded with questions. To answer your question, I have never made such an expansive mod before so I'm not the ultimate authority on the matter, but from the way it sounds, I think you could get away with making hard edits, since your mod would be so large in scope that conflicts are inevitable.

hey so tried installing your mods (specifically the tribe of two mod) for my ttw play through and after trial and error I still have yet to get it to work then I looked at the plugins and noticed that tribe of two have NV in front where as the companion framework had not only that but a ttw version as well so ig what im asking is did I screw up the installation or is there a ttw specific version of that mod im just missing? UPDATE: Ok after a little exploring I figured it out all I did was right clicked the mod went to info then found the ttw version on the optional side witch I then switch it over to the available side

i use Mod Manager 2 as my load order creator/sorter, it has use for many other games than just Fallout NV and it's worked just fine for me. also, i can name my loadout whatever i want, i go with "A Tale of Too Goddamn Many Wastelands" as i hoard Worldspace/Expansion styled mods. so i have TTW, A World of Pain, The Frontier and so on. hell i even dare to dream of making my own expansion based on New York and fitting it in the loadout (eventually lol)

Sorry if this is a silly question, Are your armor vendor stores compatible with Simple Open Freeside? If not, then where can i find the armors? Do any merchants sell them?

I don't use Simple Open Freeside, so I can't tell you with 100% certainty, but I think a commenter once told me it works. In any case, my armors and weapons are integrated into base-game leveled lists, so they'll show up on NPCs, in containers, at other vendors, etc. My vendors are mainly there for if you want all my armors in stock at any given time (i.e. you have a specific one you want and don't want to raid for the random number generator to give it to you)

I cannot extract the files from the .rar folder i keep getting a "catastrophic error"

Howdy Tammer. Im trying to install your Nif-Bashed weapon and armors packs but for some reason the game doesnt want to recognize them (Maybe Vlad is too powerful). I tried installing through Vortex as well and no dice. I have the contents of the .Zip files in the Data folder minus the text documents. Not sure if I need to move the ESMs somewhere or what. Any advice would be greatly appreciated

All you need to do is extract all the files to your Data folder (minus the text files) and your mod manager should be able to find them. It sounds like you did everything right, all I can suggest is to double- and triple-check the directory, because the only reason the game/mod manager wouldn't be able to find them is if they're not in the correct folder. Make sure it's in the same folder as FalloutNV.esm.

Hopefully you see this, I already installed the nif-mega armor pack, version 4.7 and I want to install the latest version (4.8). How do I go about this? How do I "update the mod", do I have to uninstall the file and delete every file in the directory? Or can I simply download and overwrite the one I already have. I'm using Vortex but I know I have to extract your google drive files manually which I did for the previous Mega-Armor pack. Do I extract the files again and overwrite or do the first thing I mentioned?

Yes, just extract the new files into the Data folder and when it prompts you to overwrite, click "Yes"

I tried using the FOMM but everytime i pressed load fallout NV i coudlnt find the vendors so idk if im doing something wronh

Make sure you extracted all the files to the correct folders and that you remembered to actually enable the plugin. Other than that, if it still doesn't work, I don't know how else to help you.

I have some issues with the mesh's from your mega pack loading in and am completely lost on how to fix it, any guidance is much appreicated !

If the meshes aren't loading and you get the red missing mesh error, make sure you extracted the meshes to the correct subfolder in your New Vegas Data folder. That's the only possible reason why the meshes don't load.

Is the Amm-O-Matic part of the weapons pack or is it a thing you download on its own? I tried to get it but all I saw was the first appearance and no download version.

The machines are added to the worldspace by the vendor plugins, so Vlad's plugin for vanilla New Vegas, and Reginald's plugin for TTW.

For each vendor, the download link is in the little info box, below their photo. Hi Tammer, Im dealing with an issue with "Tribe of Two" mod for "Tale of two wastelands", I downloaded the file on your website and it works... but only if i start in NV. I cant seem to get Her to spawn in the capital wasteland. I tried deleating the fnv file from the folder in mod organizer 2 but It didnt work. Is there something im missing? would really appriciate some help, this looks like the perfect mod for playing through Fo3 again.

Somebody else mentioned this, but I have no idea why it isn't working, especially if you deleted the FNV version plugin. Are you sure the TTW plugin has been enabled, in addition to removing the FNV version?

The only way that happens, assuming you extracted the files correctly, is if you didn't enable the plugin. Make sure it's checked off on your load order.

If it only works for mods that are on Nexus, I left the old versions of my mods available there, but the latest updates will not be available in that case.

Hey MC Tammer, not sure if you check these comments but I am looking for some help regarding the Revenant Armor. On the back of the right leg is a rectangular black void that has been driving me crazy trying to get rid of. I had at first downloaded the outdated Nexus version so I tried updating to 4.7 on the wiki, but that didn't work. I thought maybe it had something to do with me using ATTT redux and the cowboy reskin since the void is basically where the Courier holsters handguns, but upon disabling ATTT nothing changed. I also tried disabling my ENB, no dice. Is there anything else that could be causing this? Some sort of texture mod or something? I am about ready to just tear my whole load order down to get rid of this black patch on the pants, I really like the Revenant set that much.

@@mctammer just the male model as far as I know. Seeing as no one else has dealt with this it’s probably something with my load order or how I installed something I’m somewhat of a novice to be honest, probably messed something up along the way

@@che7293 Looking at the mesh, I can't see anything immediately wrong with it. The only thing I can suggest is disabling all other mods except mine, see if that fixes the issue, then re-enable your mods one by one until you find the one that's causing the issue.

Are you sure you extracted the ESM to the correct folder? The only reason it won't show up is if it's not in your Data folder.

@@tough4501 Are both the Mega-Pack and the flare gun conversion plugins downloaded, installed, and enabled? Is the flare gun conversion loaded after the Mega-Pack? If the answer to both is "Yes", then it should work. If it's still not working, I have no idea why. That said, I'm not running Windows 11, so if that's what's causing the problem, I won't be able to help you.

I got the folders to where they are supposed to be, but when I got to data files on the NV launcher nothing appears except mods I already had installed from Nexus.. any ideas of what I'm doing wrong? I had to use 7-zip to move the folders because I have a newer version of Windows than you do in the video and thats the only way it looked like I could extract them.

How did you install the mods from Nexus? Are you already using a mod manager? In which case, enable the plugin using your mod manager instead of the Data Files/launcher method.

@@mctammer Vortex has an automatic download feature i use. I only download mods that have that feature offered for this exact reason. I downloaded your mods from your google drive. And yes i am using the exact mod manager you recommended in your video

@@MuddyWaterss I don't know if you can mix and match mod managers. If you're already using Vortex, install my mods using that instead. Apparently there's an option that says "Drop file here"? I don't use Vortex, so I can't guide you but this is what other commenters have said. That's how you install mods from external sources. Good luck!

Vlad is found in a separate plugin and is not included in the Mega-Pack ESM. You need to download and install him separately.

@@TheBoss_Man The armor pack only comes with an ESM. Extract the files into your Data folder, then enable the ESM in your mod manager.

Hey, great mods, they're very nice, just one small issue, I've done the modern way to install them yet they haven't shown up in the game, i looked ALL over freeside and yet not a single sign of your vendors, I'm attempting to start a new character but haven't started due to early work hours. If you know the problem is, PLEASE, let me know, peace edit: i have positioned them so that they do show up in the plugin tab

Have you enabled the plugins? They need to have a checkmark beside the name. Just arranging them in order does nothing if they're not activated.

I've been trying for at least 4 hours to figure out why I cannot spawn any weapon from the mod. I have thoroughly checked the command, the FormID's, the Mod Index and everything needed to do so, but I still get the error in console where it says "Item not found for parameter objectid". I don't know what else to do, the mod seems to be correctly installed, be either through Vortex, FOMM or Direct Installation. Any help would be deeply appreciated.

Hmm, my first though would be that the plugin hasn't been enabled, but if you got the Mod Index, then that would mean you've already checked it. And the error message suggests it's not a problem with the command itself, but the parameter. Just for the sake of clarity, what is the Mod Index, and what is the weapon you're trying to spawn?

Right now I've reinstalled the game, and the same error keeps appearing. The Mod Index, according to Vortex, is 06, and I've tried to spawn several weapons to no avail, such as the 5mm Bullpup Rifle, the Personal Defense Carbine, or the .308 Battle Rifle.

@@alejandrobriceno863 Assuming the Mod Index is correct, the console command "Player.AddItem 06F00037 1" should give you one 5mm Bullpup Rifle. There's no reason it shouldn't work if you're sure everything is installed properly, and the plugin is activated.

@@alejandrobriceno863 One more thing you might try is cycle up the Mod Index numbers to see if it eventually works. Start with 01F00037 and work your way up through 02, 03 ... 0D, 0E, 0F, etc. in hexadecimal. If one of them works, then you'll know the Mod Index that Vortex reported was wrong.

I have never used Vortex, so I don't know. If they allow you to install mods from outside sources, then yes. But, because it's NexusMods' proprietary software, if they restrict you to only installing content from Nexus, then your only option is to install one of the old versions that I left up for this exact purpose. It will still work fine, you just won't get any of the new stuff.

This did not help me at all to install Tribe of Two. I use MO2, but you didn’t seem to include installation directions for it (I’m using TTW, so I’m not sure what I need to change in the folders to have it set up specifically for TTW, not regular new Vegas)

You don't need to change anything in the folders, just install it like you would any other mod for New Vegas, and enable the TTW version of the plugin instead of of the FNV one.

I've tried to do this with existential thread. i used 7zip to open the rar, and like you said, i copy pasted the destination, said ok, turned on the esp under data files while booting up the gae, and it doesnt show up beside the kings! did i do something wrong?

From what you've described, I can't think of any reason why it wouldn't work. All I can suggest is to double check in Windows Explorer that the files have actually been extracted to the correct folder (for example, to New Vegas, not Fallout 3 by accident?) and make sure the checkmark appears beside the plugin name in the Data Files tab. Otherwise, try the mod manager method.

You can download just the Weapon Mega-Pack by itself and the weapons will be found on NPCs, in containers, and at base-game vendors.

so yeah It works with Vortex, you just have to have it in a new save, and drag and drop the zip file into the file upload section. also as an added detail, it has to be the zip from the latest version just be careful to grab it from the page dedicated to that pack from the wiki I am not claiming it is guaranteed to work first try, just wait a few in-game days thanks tammer for these amazing mods and thanks @apex1757 for the clarification on how to do it.

I built my gaming PC back in 2013, so yeah, it's still running Windows 7. Considering that I only buy games that've been discounted to $10 or less, its age hasn't been a problem for me since I'm not playing the latest releases anyway. Also, I've run into issues running the GECK on my Windows 10 laptop while it runs flawlessly on the old machine, so as long as it's working, I don't want to mess with it.

My PC came with the newest version of Windows a couple months ago and I can't figure out how to extract the files without using 7zip. And when I try that it doesnt seem to be working. i got the files where they need to be except the mods arent appearing under "data files" in the launcher

@@MuddyWaterss The software doesn't matter, the fundamentals are the same. Using 7-Zip is no different from using WinRAR like I did in the video. At the top of the window, there should be a line of icons and the second one from the left should be the "Extract" icon. When you click it, a new window called "Copy" should pop up, with a text field labeled "Copy To:" where you paste the file path like I showed you in the video.
