You can just jumper that. Make sure it isn’t too thick or it’ll rub the heat sink. Your bigger problem will be readhering the sink to the fets. You broke the surface of the adhesive backing when you pulled the sink. I repair these even when the fets blow. Pretty easy esc to work on.

I think if I blew another one, I'd likely go ahead and replace it. When it happened, I think I was inside ordering a hobbywing brushless kit within the hour and used it as an excuse to rip it apart. I'd been through so many documents online that explained what it "might" be, so I thought for future folks who come across things like this it'd be interesting to see. I actually just threw it out last week in preparation for a move.

@@dangraves6358 I get it. Was always fond of these little ESCs. Hate to hear it got canned. But if it’s of no use to you, it’s of no use to you. You can get enough fets to repair 8 of these for 15 bucks. And that’s if every fet is bad. It’s usually only 2 of the 6. But it does require some hot air rework experience. I understand most folks just don’t have that. Take care!

Just solder a beefy wire between the traces. Just did it on my son's, works perfectly.

@@larsbee I don't see an option to do a direct factory reset - the manual though shows what the factory settings are and how to change them all - I found a semi-decent copy here: imgur.com/dR6Mrb6 Hope that helps

@@dangraves6358 thx for ur reply ... I got hold of the manual and already changed the settings but I thought the factory settings worked much better on my brushed motor than what I could change them to ... thx for the info!

Mine didn't damage the board, it might be a mosfet because it keeps flashing it works fine on Brushed though.

I still have mine in the garage. Another guy mentioned soldering it would work. I think the only thing you'd have to be careful of is making sure you don't make the same error again because that strip failing was the fault protection. After I put the strips back together, if I make the same mistake again then my Tamiya's going to be a melted pile of burnt goo.

Interesting - the green light means it should work but it shouldn't be making any sounds. Maybe check all the connections and make sure the ESC is into CH2 of the receiver (I'm sure you've done this already, just trying to offer any suggestions I can).
