Started my first semi project recently and happily stumbled upon your videos Bob, amazing! I've learned much from you in just a few short weeks, thank you much! Bought an assortment of goodies from you yesterday which you promptly shipped out today, again thanks! I believe I'll be learning much more from you, the help you've showed this newbie is much appreciated!

Loving your channel. A tip I learned when using the third hand is to put some heat shrink tubing over the alligator clips to help protect the wires. Hope that helps.

Have you ever ran across troubles with the Tamiya MFC volume control? I have an MFC 02 pickup truck kit, I had started this truck about 18 months ago and ended up. In the hospital 5 months and I just started finishing the truck and my volume stays at the maximum volume when turning the knob on the control box.. When I have the truck outside people 3 houses down can hear it if they are outside. I may have to see if Tamiya will look at it. I just hate pulling the truck apart because they will want the control box along with the MFC. If you have any ideas please let me know. Thank you for doing the video on the FS-i6X radio, your videos are so well done Your videos are done in a fashion where I am able to set the 9 year old young man from church, who I am helping build a night hauler on a budget, in front of the computer and he learns the how to videos you do. Thank you Sir!!

Hi. Loved your video on adding lights. I have a question on my situation. I have a Tamiya 1/16 Tiger 1 tank. It has a DMD multi function unit. It's the MF-01. I want to add l.e.d. lights to the front of the tank. There are extra slots on MF-01 but not sure if I can plug in a tamiya wire lume in one of those empty slots? I don't want to short out my MF-01 Computer. Are you familiar with the MF-01? On the top of the MF-01 of the empty slots that are not being used say OPT. I'm guessing that stands for options? Also does the Tamiya L.E.D. wire lume have a built in resistor? Is there any way I can add two lights to my set up? Thanks

Look in my older videos I have a 4 part series I did on the Tiger tank including radio programming etc. I would use an electronic switch for the lights. An easy way to do it and the lights do not connect to the MF unit. hobbyconcepts.net/products/hobbyconcepts-electronic-switch?_pos=1&_sid=4ad334b19&_ss=r

@HobbyconceptsLLC thanks for your fast response. So I noticed that to use this switch it connects to one of the channels on the receiver? I have a 4 channel receiver/transmitter and all for are already being used. I would need to buy a bigger transmitter, and receiver with let's say a 6 channel in order to use this switch? I would hate to spend another $150 or more on another transmitter?

  • @HobbyconceptsLLC

Yes, you need a transmitter with more channels. I like the Flysky FS-i6x (it has 10 channels). hobbyconcepts.net/products/flysky-fs-i6x-2-4ghz-10-channel-radio-modified-for-tamiya-semi-trucks?_pos=2&_sid=ae98d2e1d&_ss=r
